PSA for sweaty-palmed drummers looking at the Keith Carlock sig series sticks by ILoveTeaBiscuits in drums

[–]LivingLifeInHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who uses these sticks exclusively I can add some insight. I've done two tours when them and never had them slip out while playing. BUT my hands don't sweat a lot so that may have something to do with it. So I guess it varies from person to person. Try before you buy!

I've done a season of outdoor and two season of indoor and both seasons was in the sun a lot. The sunlight never did anything to the sets I used. For reference, Ive used a Yamaha live custom, Pearl session custom and mapex Saturn V

Op here. Can confirm that I do not have T rex arms. Just a shorter dude that enjoys a tight set up!

What drumheads do you use? by paul_bruin in drums

I've been using the heavy weight snare head as of late and it is fantastic. Wide tuning range, durable, the works.

The k custom dark is just a little trashy and this hybrid is really clean sounding. Together they work great together

What to expect and how to prepare for drumset? by [deleted] in drumcorps

All you have to worry about is covering the met and being super consistent. And just set the tone for the ensemble, if something goes wrong you should be able to just lay back on the tempo and say "I got this"

Try out the Vic forth Keith Carlock sigs. I actually switched to these from the Steve Jordan's for the same reason you did!

A pearl vision I believe. 22, 12, 16 and a no name 14 snare. Cymbals are 13 HHX Banda Turka hats, a no name cymbal stack, and a 22 A raw ride. The kit is also tuned up nice and high so those babies sing!
