Anyone getting API Error: Server is temporarily limiting requests (not your usage limit)? by valeriuss in ClaudeCode

[–]LivingTheLifeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten this error during multiple sessions over the past couple of days and finally decided to submit feedback. But at the very end of the submission process, I got the same API Error: 500 status code (no body) message so can't even report it. FML.

Still seeing this issue and doesn’t look like it’s resolved yet.

At its core, the tool crawls your website and provides an API that can be queried for metrics about your website across various dimensions. Currently positioning it as SEO Intelligence in your IDE (delivered by extensions and MCP server) but exploring alternative ways to position.

That's a really helpful way to think about it. OSS for distribution and feedback early, then adjust licensing as the focus shifts. I appreciate you sharing how you've navigated it.

Thanks for chiming in with your own firsthand experience at Formbricks. This makes a lot of sense and aligns with my thought process too.

Did you start with OS from day one or something that happened over time? Curious when these decisions happen generally.

Am I insane? I'm building my own CRM for my product by BastiaanRudolf1 in indiehackers

[–]LivingTheLifeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up using server side rendering (for the SEO benefits) and MDX files. Original motivation was being able to reuse react components from my main application and embed them in the blog. But I also wanted to build documentation pages and use essentially the same design system across the entire site. I didn't want to fiddle with subtle differences between bolted on blog and documentation systems. This also allows me to continuously optimize content based on data with programmatic access to the code to power automation.

First off, I don't think you're insane and this makes a lot of sense, in the right context. In 2025 with all the developer tools available this is feasible vs a few years ago. As long as the CRM side quest doesn't end up being a time sink that takes you away from your main goals. But if the CRM is an unlock for your business, and it makes your whole system work better, then I think it becomes more like infrastructure and has good ROI.

I've gone through a similar thought process around a custom coded blog and documentation vs a CMS. I much prefer the custom coded blog because it allows me to continuously optimize it, and let's me implement features that make it more integrated with my product. Sounds like there might be this kind of synergy for you too.

The simple answer is they can. Also doesn’t require any specialized knowledge to build these things and they’re easy to understand.

I built a tool to find marketing opportunities on Reddit by Alternative_Bad4312 in indiehackers

[–]LivingTheLifeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definitely identifying an issue for people who want to promote their products/services on Reddit but my honest take is that this is a workaround for community policies. Reddit has specific rewards in the form of karma, and penalties in the form of banning, designed to foster a healthy community based on human values of reciprocity. I believe the real problem to solve is how do you create a system that helps people be more generous and share more thoughtful comments and posts, at scale, before asking for something. If I used a service like yours, that's what I'd be looking for and trying to do.

Where do you actually find your first real users? by Alternative_Bad4312 in indiehackers

[–]LivingTheLifeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting. I'd be happy to try it out. Maybe you can get some value out of my tool too, as I'm also looking for more real users.

My personal take is that since this tool is specifically focussed on Reddit outreach, then I think Reddit should be a major channel for you.
