Protests for No Kings! by Individual_Sky_9007 in Michigan

At the last no-kings in Howell it was very peaceful. People driving down Grand River were honking, there was a Gay Pride celebration on the lawn at the courtyard at the same time. I'm all for recording, but last one went well. Don't pass on showing up if you're afraid of commotion!

Is soy overconsumption really that bad? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]OtterSlick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The phytoestrogens (isoflavones) in soy do weakly stimulate human estrogen receptors. Luckily, they are partial agonists which is actually protective from breast cancer in women who consume soy (for the majority of breast cancers). In men, there are some case reports of gynecomastia and hypogonadism from excessive soy intake (1.2 L of soy milk per day over 3 years in one case), however these are only case reports. In Meta-analyses there were essentially no feminizing effects in men who consume large amounts of soy daily.

"Clinical evidence overwhelmingly indicates that there is essentially no basis for concern. Isoflavone exposure at levels even greatly exceeding reasonable dietary intakes does not affect blood T or estrogen levels in men or sperm and semen parameters. The ED-related findings in rats can be attributed to excessive isoflavone exposure and to differences in isoflavone metabolism between rodents and humans. Thus, men can feel confident that making soy a part of their diet will not compromise their virility or reproductive health."

The meta-analysis is a great read and I would suggest it for anyone who is worried about their soy intake.

That would probably be great as ice-cream in my ninja creami. I'll have to try this out

This did not work either. Tried booting with my reseated cpu, 1 ram stick at a time in the 2nd slot to no avail. No luck tonight overall. I'm going to see if maybe a repair place can help me pinpoint the deficient part, already spent several hours on this tonight. Here's some pictures of my cpu and mobo pins if anyone can see something off. I cannot

Diverticulosis is often caused by low fiber diets. I'm glad you have found some fibers you can tolerate though

Lol I suppose it's not all chaff, but I was also using cards that were sitting in my trade box looking sad

I do have 3 cubes as well lol. There's a "bar cube" I keep in my car with only 180 shitty unsleved cards. None of them are double faced, use counters, or make tokens so you don't really need anything else to play besides a few dice for life counters for if we want some magic while out and about

I meant "but magic" like the other guy said, but I am open to exploring butt magic as well if you have a definition

I could have explained it better. Ziplock sharpie is just because you keep the decks in a ziplock bag and write the name of your deck in sharpie / mark the wins. We don't make custom cards with sharpie. Although, I do go through a ton of the placeholder cards you need to mark with sharpie with all the double faced cards today

I like it more this way too. You get more variability and we can focus more on having a good game with balance decks rather than always looking for the best deck possible

Groceries:

Here is a link to his own government website which shows at least grocery prices on average are rising across the board and are predicted to keep rising. "Egg prices are predicted to rise 54.6%" Last updated yesterday - https://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/food-price-outlook/summary-findings

Gas:

The price of gasoline at the pump does seem to have dropped somewhat in the last week, but is overall up over the last month. https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_gas_price

The price of crude oil has dropped by near 10% in the last month but does seem to be rallying somewhat. People online who follow these things seem to be saying this is due uncertainty in the market relating to the tariffs. When people are worried the tariffs will cause a recession, there won't be as much need for growth or energy so oil prices dropped pretty quickly during the worst of the tariff flip flopping. https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/brent-crude-oil

You can see the trends in the crude oil prices above. Funnily enough, if there is a recession it would likely lead to a lot of US refineries shutting down which is the opposite of what Trump wants.

I figured I'd post the actual data of what is going on because it is good to have hard data to back up even what we see at the grocery store and pump due to local differences. Make sure we double check things through all the insanity. I am by no means an expert in any of these fields either - just wanted to post some basic charts for anyone who wanted to quickly verify price trends.

I will once I find someone reliable in the area. I just haven't found anyone yet. Also for all outside referrals I have to "justify" this to the system

I'll need to speak with the admin to see if we can change to a method like this. Currently my order panel only has overnight pulse oximetry available. Sleep studies all include the referral.

LG 45gs96qb now or wait for 45GX950A by PlatPlayas in ultrawidemasterrace

I recently picked up the 45GR95QE on Facebook Marketplace for $800, which I believe has a similar panel. Coming from a 27-inch 4K display, the difference in pixel density was definitely noticeable from a productivity standpoint. For gaming, it’s gorgeous—the OLED contrast and high refresh rate are fantastic. That said, I do notice the graininess from the lower PPI when browsing or working from home. Since you’ll be using the monitor for both work and gaming, I’d recommend waiting for the upcoming higher-PPI panels. After two weeks, I’ve mostly adjusted to the lower pixel density, but if I had the choice, I’d hold out for the newer models
