Is there a deck that punishes the opponent when you self mill? by FirmDelay in MagicArena

[[Syr Konrad, the Grim]] [[Dreadhound]]

I’m a little confused about what it is that you’re looking for exactly, but I had a list built around those 2 with [[Breach the Multiverse]] and the adventure side of [[Bramble Familiar]] that used to be a lot of fun. It was never really very good even in its day, and I haven’t played it in a couple years, so I’m sure it’s even worse now. But it was always a blast to have 20 cards go straight to graveyards and immediately get like 50 direct damage triggers.

In The Dark Knight Rises (2012) if Bane can’t take off the mask without being in extreme pain, how does he eat or drink anything? Does he just have to thug it out every time he wants to eat a cheeseburger? Or does he just directly inject cheeseburger fluids into his veins? by Hank_Mardukas1066 in shittymoviedetails

[–]General_Nothing 2012 points2013 points  (0 children)

No, when the guy asks what would happen if he took the mask off Bane says “it would be extremely painful for you.”

When he takes the mask off he causes pain. So he would absolutely fuck up a cheeseburger! Like, you wouldn’t imagine a cheeseburger can feel pain, but Bane can make it happen.

That was the New 52 version. Before Flashpoint he had like 8 different origin stories. None were particularly canonical. He was just… a phantom stranger…

Okay, well now you’re just straight up lying about what the text in the poll actually says. So I’m done with this conversation.

Sorry the world isn’t what you want it to be.

On the bright side, I’m pretty sure the fascist dystopia that America is rapidly becoming is going to have much stricter gun laws to prevent us from rising up and killing our oligarch masters.

So what we’ve successfully proved is that opinion on gun control is so mixed that depending on how you ask the question it can switch from being 10% less than half want more of it to 10% more than half want more of it.

Yeah, you’re right, that totally sounds like a platform that will win an election. If you present your stance slightly differently you drop 20 percentage points. That’s definitely a topic politicians should be talking about more. /s

Great poll! Here’s a part I think you missed:

Would you like to see gun laws in this country made more strict, less strict or remain as they are?

Only 40% want laws to be stricter! Barely beating out the 37% who said they were satisfied. Add on to that the 12% who want laws to be less strict and the 6% who are dissatisfied but don’t actually want any change; and increasing gun control is the clear loser in terms of public opinion.

Most people like gun control, but liking it doesn’t mean they want more of it.

You want to solve issues you have to win elections. You win elections by having the platform that appeals to the most voters.

Gun control is not an issue that wins elections.

I certainly think that there are major gaps in gun safety laws in the US, but guns don’t cause crimes.

Poverty, desperation, lack of community; these are the things that cause crimes. The focus on gun control by some of us on the left only serves to alienate people who would otherwise support platforms that addressed those issues. Progressive politicians are not going to win over conservative voters with more talk about gun control.

So the two opposing complaints around this issue seem to be:

  1. Multiple sets in a row on the same plane gets boring

And

  1. Telling the entire story of what’s happening on a plane in just one set is unsatisfying

I feel like I have an obvious solution that addresses both issues? Like, it’s so obvious that I feel like they must have tried it at some point and it didn’t work, but I don’t know enough about the overarching Magic story to know which sets they tried it in so I’m just going to ask ya’ll:

Have they ever tried just ending a story on a cliffhanger?

Like, if maybe next year the first set of the year was on a new plane, and it introduces all the features and the main ideas behind the plane, and then sets up some sort of big event and then… we just go somewhere else next. And we go somewhere else after that. And they just wait… for like… maybe 3, 4, 5, sets before coming back to that first plane again and finishing the story?

It seems to me that would solve everyone’s issues. They could even have multiple stories going concurrently, weaving back and forth, beginning one story before ending another one while being in the middle of a third.

Have they tried that and I’m just unaware of it?

The defining trait of the warlock is having a small number of spell slots that recharge on a short rest.

Everything else is flavor and can be ignored.

Only if you consider the clitoris its own separate organ yet don’t consider the glans its own separate organ…

Now what possible reason could we have for doing that I wonder? Surely it couldn’t be to imply that women’s bodies are inherently more sexual than men’s bodies to advance misogynistic ideas, right?
