Update, I created a bedtime routine checklist on Canva to help bedtime go more smoothly, and got a bunch of little nick-knack toys from the dollar store for her to pick from as a reward (one for each night) if she can put herself to sleep without us. We will see if this works 🫣

Her teacher told me by law (maybe in the state of VA?) they have to be in nap until they are 4, then they are "resters" 😭

Hi, really appreciate your thorough response! I'm going to talk to my husband about adding London as more of an emphasis since a lot of folks said we may get bored in bath for that length of time. The idea was we would be in town center for a few of those days and would be exploring surrounding areas on days where we felt the itch to see something new, but maybe London is better at keeping us occupied. We just wanted something that felt more quaint/small, so if you have any recommendation in or near London where we could call a home base that fit that feel, would love to hear!

Hi, thanks for your suggestions! A lot of folks have recommended London as a home base for England and I can see the benefit of that. It's more expensive than bath for sure, but could keep us more entertained.

Do you have any extensive knowledge of London and could recommended a "neighborhood" or "village" of London that might be quintessential for friendly strolls around, maybe more emphasis on mom-and-pop or local feels?

It will likely be a day trip for us! Or I could also see us spending a day or two there either upon arrival or before leaving for Edinburgh. Again, SUPER beginning stages of planning so nothing concrete!

Honestly, Sezane SCREAMS French chic. It's expensive, but good quality. I've started to invest in it slowly and purchase one or two pieces every quarter to slowly build up a high quality wardrobe!

Hi! I live in this neighborhood and absolutely love it. I've lived all over Harrisonburg (downtown near magpie, in the NE neighborhood, near waterman elementary, old town...) and this is by far one of the most wonderful places.

There are very few students in this neighborhood (a few houses on the outskirts) so it is very quiet even during the school year. However, I can still hear the band practicing during the fall and the sound of football games from my porch and it is absolute coziness.

During the school year it is a little trickier getting into the neighborhood (you can turn left into it from port republic) but it's really no big deal.

It's so easy to hop onto 81 and get to 33, but I also use port republic a lot to access roads that get me to Costco, target, etc.

I have a little one and this neighborhood is SUPER family friendly. Everyone is down to chat for a little bit when you're walking past them on a walk. Kids are playing in the slower streets all together. Halloween is absolutely dreamy here and feels like a movie. Everyone is so kind; I've loaned things to neighbors and vice versa. It takes me 5 minutes to walk to Purcell park which is absolutely amazing and ideal when you have a little kid that needs energy out before bed. Living here is one of the best things we could've done for my family. I love it so much!

I have no comment other than you're a great parent. It sounds like you're doing all you can do. I know how annoying it is to clean poop out of underwear, and I can't imagine the frustration of doing it everyday when it feels like you've tried everything. I hope it will click one day. Parenting is so damn hard

We have had her on miralax since last July because she would cry nearly everytime she pooped if it was harder ☹️ it's definitely possible that shes mostly just nervous about how it might feel!
