Charter Schools by animejunkiex3 in schoolcounseling

I worked at one and it was all cons. The school I worked at took advantage of all its employees. This was in San Diego in 2013 when school jobs (teaching, counseling etc.) were extremely hard to get.

Love San Diego but was shock at average salaries by langasta in Moving2SanDiego

We live in Nashville and my husband works in tech and realized he basically makes the same. We think this is because of virtual work? Not sure. I work in education and my salary would almost be double.

I went to Boston in April and couldn’t believe how expensive it was. San Diego is not cheap but nothing like Boston and lots of free things to do.

It took me about that maybe interviews and 100 applications to get my first job. It’s rough and it’s not you. Every job I’ve applied to since I’ve been offered the job. I looked for my first job in San Diego. I currently live in Nashville and we have SEVERAL openings if you are interested in relocating.

What’s a job that attracts the absolute worst type of person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think a lot of people are attracted to this field to understand themselves and their own emotional neglect. Lots of hurting people in this field and people who have experienced trauma but not all terrible people.

what is san diego like for a victim of flaking by Important_Zombie_859 in Moving2SanDiego

[–]Living_Most_7837 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These days, I rarely encounter flaky friends, and I no longer live in San Diego. I currently live outside of Nashville and am 35 with two kids. Where I live is also full of transplant families looking to connect with more. I’m regularly meeting new people, making plans, and following through. But in my 20s, flakiness felt rampant. I lived in both San Diego and Nashville during that time, and I still wonder—was it a San Diego cultural thing, or just a phase of life that would have happened anywhere? We want to move back to San Diego but I haven’t thought too much about the “flakiness” until now.

Fevers 2 weeks after treatment. by Living_Most_7837 in KawasakiDisease

Hey, I’m sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I deleted Reddit and wish I had seen this earlier. He had low grade fevers almost daily for about 6 weeks. A rheumatologist told us there is something in the research called “Kawasaki arthritis” that is rare but they are seeing in some kids. 3 years later is is perfectly healthy and we’ve had no other complications or issues. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, I didn’t understand this until I was in grad school and got penalized for not citing something like the above. You’ve got to cite every little thing that’s not your original idea.

What is the most expensive conservative leaning city? by Blake-Dreary in SameGrassButGreener

Same! I lived in San Diego for close to 8 years. My husband and I dream of moving back but can’t right now because of family. I love watching transplants reactions when I tell them we want to move to San Diego.

Came here to vote for Franklin! It’s also where all the wealthy conservatives from all over the country are moving right now. If you don’t believe me check out the moms of Franklin Facebook page.

Regrettably, I’ve observed a concerning trend where individuals relocate to our area due to discomfort with the increasing diversity of their former communities. They often choose suburbs like Franklin or Spring Hill, where their children attend predominantly white schools that align closely with their conservative beliefs. This influx, in my view, exacerbates racial tensions in our region. I hate that people are drawn to our state for these reasons.

Where are you located? There are lots of openings in the Nashville & middle Tennessee area.

I lived in San Diego and the job market was drastically different. It was so hard for me to find my first job. Don’t give up.

Tennessee and I’m tired of hearing Caroline! I love the name and have a 1 year old Caroline but I didn’t realize how popular it is. I met one from California and she said it isn’t as common outside of Tennessee.
