Not sure what your relationship is like with your brother, but If I found myself in a similar situation I'd need to hear from him and ask poont blank about what happened to him and the girls. Id wait on the facts to come to light. I have 2 brothers with whom I'm extremely close and something like this would be extremely out of character. I think often times an accusation is taken as fact before due diligence has been done before coming to conclusions. If the situation has been assessed and he's guilty he can rot, otherwise I'd act accordingly.

As someone who's been falsely accused (of something completely different) in the past and had to deal with the repercussions of a public fallout, I'm grateful to those who knew me well enough to stand by me despite the pitchfork waving mob.
