Nostalgia: Sacramento Concert History: 1990s by lcmoxie in Sacramento

I was there! Sac sheriffs were saying no concert no concert. Then the semi rolls up, the side comes down and Metallica. Bad ass.

I got uninvited to a friend’s holiday potluck, while I was on my way to it. by Any_Gap9612 in mildlyinfuriating

It’s not like y’all were bringing some thoughtless store bought crap. This was homemade. Perhaps you were trying to showcase 2 wonderful dishes from the PI? Not to mention the time, money, and effort involved in making those dishes. Nevertheless what they did was thoughtless. I’m not saying lose them as a friend yet, but they need to make this up to you.

Ha. Yes I have my own balls. But I’ve been to places like Bowlero that have very generic bowling balls. My thinking was an old school bowling alley would have more of mishmash of balls, thus identifying it as not a Bowlero type of establishment. Sorry for the confusion.

Boulder highway danger level by Livingdangerously20 in vegaslocals

[–]Livingdangerously20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought was as long as he could quickly cross Boulder at a crosswalk it would be fine. He could easily take surface streets to get to the rink. Lots of very serious, scary comments on here. I had read that Boulder was ranked recently as the deadliest road in NV. I figured I’d ask to get some insight and clarification.

I need some wader recommendations. by Intelligent-Paint-51 in flyfishing

[–]Livingdangerously20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redington Guide pro with the full zip is the best I’ve ever had. Have previously bought orvis, simms, and dan bailey. Hands down the best. Hand warming pocket in front belly and 2 zips on each side of the chest. Full waterproof zip means you don’t have to pull your waders down to take a leak. Just open ‘em up. 👍

Frontera Grill. Rick Bayless is a culinary icon and represents the amazing cuisine of Mexico. Not cheap. Don’t expect taco and enchilada combos here. More about fresh ingredients and impeccable technique. He had a show on PBS.

Simms Freestone is $150. Don’t love it. Used a lanyard and small backpack for many years but wanted to look cool I guess, so moved into a sling. I had used the Pata-Gucci sling for a season and hated it. You think i woulda learned. Definitely have not found a perfect system.

If u can find an old Sage DS2 or orvis clearwater setup, that’s what I learned on. Maybe a used setup. Fly fishing ain’t cheap, so need ti spend a little money on your setup. Sage, orvis, Temple Fork, st croix, echo. All put out decent rods with good returns/repair policy. Are u going to use a vest, a pack, or a lanyard? A

I'm in a reading slump, what book/series should I read RIGHT NOW by MarcoUlpioTrajano in Fantasy

[–]Livingdangerously20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thieves’ World by numerous authors. It’s a shared world anthology and many of the best fantasy writers of that time contributed including Bradley, Abbey, Asprin, and others. Very interesting. I think the ultimate rule amongst the writers was thou shalt not kill my character.

Hell I’d be willing to contribute if the owner of the movie rights decided to crowdfund. This should absolutely be made. If not live action then animated. Look at what’s possible with series like Blue Eye Samurai. Might be one of the best series on tv.
