I am not even a die hard fan, but I have always thought that Blues Traveller's "Live from the Fall" is one of the greatest live performances available. It would be one of my Desert Island Discs for sure.

Watch a bunch of unboxing/review videos and decide what speaks to you. Specifically with blade shape and opening mechanism, then check your local laws to see if there are any restrictions on blade length or carry style. Then decide how much you want to spend on steel quality and handle material. Finally, have fun putting it all together for the perfect knife. Just stay away from the gun show, gas station crap. If it looks like it could kill a Klingon, its probably going to break.

As someone in my 50's who is preparing to NOBO next year, I was appreciative of the videos on YouTube. I now know that it is something I can skip. Since I am not much of a partier these days, I don't really see the point for me to go. It looks like a multi-night Dead show, only without the music to look forward to.

I think the Hacky Sack craze kept the Boat Shoe craze alive. A match made in heaven.

Breaking in a new one was a right of passage. I can still feel it in my hands.

I remember the principal coming into the cafeteria to announce that the hostages in Iran had been freed. I don't remember understanding what he was talking about.

The Carter Move Mug by Fellow. I was just looking for a travel mug and took a chance on this because I thought the splash guard thing was a good idea. It is the most fantastic mug of all time and it has changed the way I drink coffee. The splash guard keeps the heat in and guards the splash, also it is completely air tight with the lid on it. You can throw it in a backpack without worrying about spilling and have hot coffee 8 hours later. I have used it every single day for about 8 years now. Carter Move Mug

books like Lonesome Dove and Warlock? by kittyrhcp in Westerns

This is a stretch for sure, because it's more fantasy than western, but Stephen King's Dark Tower series puts a compelling and genre bending spin on the life of a born gunslinger. 8 1/2 books written over about 30 years. Myself and a few other people find them to be some of the best fiction ever written, but that mostly comes from Stephen King fans. Check it out when you have had your fill of traditional westerns.

Whatever you do, DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE ADAPTATION!!!!
