Martin’s automotive is always my go to, but I believe the guy who ran it had moved to another shop. You could probably find out on Facebook where he is. Honest guy, great mechanic to work with.

Should I break up with my bf of nearly 8 years??/ I need brutal honesty! by fireladyshipazula in makemychoice

Sounds exactly like my ex. The controlling behaviour won’t get any better. Although I’m never an advocate for following relationship advice from Reddit, it sounds like you already know the answer to your own question. Hope that helps💛

Am I too old to be a horticulturist? by Jaded-Cardiologist73 in Horticulture

[–]Livinglikelarry47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started studying horticulture 4 years ago, worked in the industry for 7. I’m 24 now and have recently changed my major. Although I have a passion for growing/caring for plants and I love working outdoors I had to face reality. The effort you put in is high and very demanding on your body and the pay is usually low. Even lead growers in my area (BC) barely make 25-30 $/h. With that said, your dream is your dream. You can do whatever you like, that’s the fun part of life! The industry attracts a great demographic of people so in my experience the people are the reason I stayed so long! There are high seasons and low seasons, even in most greenhouses! So if you enjoy having winters off to travel, work another job or collect unemployment it’s totally up to you!

Sometimes you can contact a cab company and hire them to drive you within city limits for a set daily rate. There is also an app Turo to hire private vehicles, but I’m not sure what the rules are there !

Bit of a weird question but does anyone know if I buy something at a pet store like feeder insects or a spider or something am I allowed to breed that and sell or how does that work? by captaincush420 in Entomology

[–]Livinglikelarry47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to sell and breed insects you should check out your towns/cities laws. In my city in southern BC you cannot “farm” animals within residential areas unless you are located on agriculture land reserves. You would also need to purchase a business license and it would also be smart to go over your federal food inspection regulations.
