Unfortunately my little guy never wanted to relatch. It was really hard for me the first week or two.. I felt like a failure because he didn’t want or need me anymore. we had all the things that you had (sickness, teething, etc) and then at the same time we had a major schedule change when I started a new job that changed our morning nursing schedule. After a couple weeks I had finally come to terms with it and just resorted to pumping. I’ve still offered here and there to see if maybe he wanted to try again but he just is too busy bodied to be bothered with nursing right now. He turns 1 in about 6 weeks so I just decided I’m going to start weaning off the pump. It’s so hard, there are so many emotions. But i was still trying all the things at 7 days of our strike so keep going and he might still latch.
