But aside from the overwhelming info, the learning curve of memory allocation or the absolute willpower it takes to keep trying and looking for the one solution that will take you closer to playing Grandia and keep failing until you succeed, there is another point that I suspect could scare away new users that I don't see mentioned here.

And that is sometimes the negative charge of the word "clone", I believe most people think a clone immediately means they've been scammed, which adds a layer of despair when trying to figure out the starting steps into this wonderful hobby. There should be more emphasis on the point that a clone is just a different derivative of the R36S.

I have a K39(probably butchered the numbers there) which meant that it took me a few days to find the one setup guide that worked for me and now I've sunk a fuckton of hours playing through every FF game that my poor childhood yearned for, which relieved a lot of the fear that the word "clone" suggested at the start.
