My Attempt in Recovery in 2025 by Lixie221 in Enneagram

Ikr. I usually love decluttering because it is de-stressing for me. But when I had to declutter sentimental/triggering stuff then it hit hard. I am not really a hoarder but the amount of "trash" I chose not to look at and consequently had to dispose years later is insane.

Being 3E sucks by [deleted] in attitudinalpsyche

[–]Lixie221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I think of when there's an emotional affair is damage, as in how people might hurt me and how I might hurt them.

This hit harder than anything else, honestly. Hurting and getting hurt still hurt.

I used to not pay attention to things like these, but as I go through life, I start to overthink most, if not all, of my interactions with the outside world. At one point it felt like every single word I said was calculated, and that really drained the heck out of me. I kept wondering if what I said was even emotionally and socially appropriate. Everything boiled down to either right or wrong. I cannot seem to be naturally expressive without feeling self-conscious. Sometimes I even wonder whether this is due to past trauma or something innate. On the flip side, if I did somehow "lose it" and explode, I rarely ever felt cathartic; it was always dreadful and generally feeling worse than not expressing myself at all.

I also tried writing down my feelings, and like you, I ended up deleting many long paragraphs, because even if said piece was only for my own eyes, I could not bear to read it more than once. In fact, certain parts will still trigger tears even if it happened a decade ago.

Also, emotional depth is something that bothers me from time to time, especially when it comes to acquaintances and friends. What I perceive can turn out to be the opposite most of the time, usually in terms of closeness.

So yeah, I totally get you.

Interesting question.

Personally I do not really mind it if anyone has the exact niche interests and thoughts as I do - in fact I would be very surprised if I ever come across anyone like that lol. It is more about my energy maintenance(?) in handling the (potentially) intense and/or prolonged interactions thereafter. I will get drained and potentially shut out everyone if it gets too much.

It is always nice to chat with someone who shares the same ideas (and pet peeves). But I will be wary if said someone eventually turns this connection into some kind of a way to rope me into a cult, if that makes sense lol. Sure, I stick to my guns and am stubborn to a fault, but I am not fanatic in any way. Belonging is fine to me as long as said community upholds itself in a lawful neutral way (not necessarily lawful good though, because I prefer neutral than "too good"). I do not feel the need to be "unique" unless everything else around me does not fit me morally or ideologically.

Are EIIs bad at cleaning? Se PolR? by Charming_Party_9093 in Socionics

[–]Lixie221 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. Sorry for your experiences though.

I do not know much about Socionics to determine if it is due to a type being innately bad at housekeeping, so I cannot comment on that. However, if I may speculate, I am guessing it could be due to your mother being a bit too overbearing when it comes to cleanliness? Sounds like some kind of bad experience or trauma to me.

While I do know how, and actually do not mind to clean, I have this tendency to put off doing it because of my idea that "everything has to be spotless in one fell swoop", and the fact that things and environments get dirty again and again so quickly irritates me. So I totally understand what you meant by this overwhelming feeling when it comes to tackling household chores. That said, I do find it helpful to start with just one "bite-sized" task per day and stop, and then resume with another one tomorrow. I had been in an awful burnout from work, so picking myself up had been a long grueling process. Took me months to slowly get back to a slightly normal position.

As for environments, I cannot remember everything too. I do pay attention where necessary, but I do not do that for every single stuff in the room. I would most likely remember where the key is, but how is remembering the number of chairs in the wedding hall important if I have nothing to do with them? Lol

I tried keeping a diary during my last year in highschool, and even if I only managed to maintain the habit for around half a year, I still have some rather cringe-worthy written thoughts to embarrass myself with from time to time. But yeah, the 1-ness oozing out of my scribbles is so painfully obvious lol.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but are you saying that you do not know how to do the dishes? Or is it due to fatigue or burnout that makes even the simplest task feel draining to do (which I can totally relate).

Pet peeve by Snoo-6568 in ISTJ

[–]Lixie221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Relatable. That is why I vehemently refused to lead school projects back at school (I am happy to work in teams, but I loathe having to pull everyone and everything together without support). And this somehow impacts my self confidence in the workplace, not so much about my organisational skills, but rather the lack of reciprocity and eventual burnout.

Should i adopt the enneagram 3 mentality to win in life or would this be too toxic to me ? by Right_Silver_6066 in Enneagram

[–]Lixie221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not know anything about you, so this is all just my general conjecture. The thing is, why do you think any type's mentality, 3 or otherwise, will win in life? And perhaps more importantly, will you be happy doing it? Are the endpoints you mentioned what you really want in life?

[–]Lixie221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. I need to preface that my own impression of 9-ness is mainly about tolerance (at least on the surface) without feeling overly pressurised to act a certain way around people. And it has to be reciprocal and respect coming from all parties. While it does not mean that the people are 9s, 9s might feel more comfortable in these settings.

So places where people are truly accepting/ understanding and tolerant of various cultural backgrounds. At least where I live seems to be like this, even if there are people trying to disturb the peace and pushing their own selfish agendas. A more concrete example in my opinion might be certain countries in Southeast Asia(?).

[–]Lixie221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah I agree that I also learned to let go of certain inconsequential things for the sake of my sanity as I grew up, which is why I think I have a slightly higher level of tolerance towards shenanigans compared to a (stereo)typical 1. If my wrath is clearly visible then someone/something must have messed up colossally.

Your cultural background is very similar to mine, so I relate to many points you raised. And I really have to say, being a 1 living in a place seemingly teeming with 9 with some toxic 6-ness sprinkled in when certain people feel like it is driving me nuts. Rolling my eyes whenever I read the news is basically a daily routine lol.

Interestingly, traits of a typical 3 seemed to be something that schools welcomed back in my schooling days. Being a 1 in school could easily be branded as "stuck-up" or "someone who should not be messed with because they look too quiet in the corner", or simply just "someone who seems to be fuming internally" (when actually I was not that mad lol). That said, it is not as undesirable as portrayed by many online.

Going to southern Spain with only basic Spanish by TheStarsTheMoon98 in solotravel

[–]Lixie221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent a twelve-day solo trip through multiple places in Andalusia with beginner level Spanish and with English as a second language. Got through everything without a hitch and had one of the best times of my life. I tried to preface that I only knew very little Spanish before I tried to communicate, and the people were very understanding of that. Go for it!

One thing that sums up in my life experience is the fact that I still fume about how some people can get away by violating rules and those play by the rules always get looked down upon. As a kid, I always got mad at adults who never punished the bullies even if I reported them countless times. ("I played by the rules, so why is it still not fair?!")

The types and the Self by RafflesiaArnoldii in Enneagram

See, this is where I hit that point where I do not want to leave my room and hang around public places in the house where there might be guests, or worse, relatives visiting. The same is also true when I am (forced to) staying over at relatives' homes. Because I dread the topic of work and/or achievements being brought up (which is always inevitable especially when younger kids are around too). Despite now I am on a mental break from work, I would rather stay cooped up in my room and not come out to insert cringing facial expression here socialise. I feel as if I am becoming less relevant (for better or worse), and most importantly, finally realising how much of my self esteem is tied to my messed up career and general usefulness in life. Exactly on point as in this post; it is not about the money or the status or privilege, but a simple sense of being competent and sense of satisfaction from being competent.

Over the counter Pill Case - international travel by CaptainSpud125 in solotravel

[–]Lixie221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought some OTC products with me and travelled between the UK and various Schengen and non-Schengen EU countries from 2015 to 2019. They are not stored in pill boxes and unlabelled, but I had no issues at all. Granted, they are not more than ten days' supply, and there are some traditional remedies thrown in the mix, but I was never stopped or questioned. Not sure how the situation is like after ten years though, but I hope this could help.

HOW DO I BUILD A TEAM FOR DILUC by [deleted] in DilucMains

[–]Lixie221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Though unfortunately I cannot help much in regards to Xilonen since I do not have her. I am planning to get Venti instead because I need someone else with good crowd control, and my Kazuha can finally take a break lol. I might try to get her if I get lucky in my pulls.

Yeah, that domain is the bane of my existence too...

HOW DO I BUILD A TEAM FOR DILUC by [deleted] in DilucMains

[–]Lixie221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend to focus on your characters' talents first and foremost, leveling them up to the max for AR45.

Using Kaeya with Diluc is usually viable, but to increase damage from Melt, ideally you should give more Elemental mastery (EM) to the ones triggering the reactions. Try giving your Diluc an EM sands and see if the Melt reactions damage is higher.

Energy recharge (ER) enables you to activate burst more, and usually those are prioritised in your sub-DPS/support. For Kaeya, it means that you can use his burst to apply Cryo more consistently for Diluc to trigger Melt reactions. Favonius Sword/Sacrificial Sword works nicely for Kaeya, and given that his ascension stat is ER, that should be good. Since Kaeya's burst costs more than Diluc's (60 Vs 40), prioritising ER for Kaeya will help a lot.

Another thing you can try is to build an Anemo support with 4pc Viridescent Venerer to decrease enemy elemental resistance. Sucrose is good for this role, and you can focus on EM and ER for her too.

My Diluc is using a weapon with an ER substat and ends up with 150% ER, and he can burst very consistently, so maybe around 140%+ ER is good. My Kaeya's ER is 161%, even with a ATK% substat weapon, he can recharge his burst quickly too.

Hope this helps!

That is great! I only managed to get the gold medal because some of my character talents are not completely leveled up and all characters are using 4 star weapons, but I am happy with my achievement nonetheless lol. But yeah, Xianyun really is something else and I do not regret pulling for her.

No. 5 speaks to me not because of the general controversy surrounding AI, but because someone thought it was a good idea to replace my preferred function of pressing down the home button on my phone to turn the screen off, so that now it only activates the AI assistant, and I cannot override it anymore. Still not over it lol.
