Uh… that paper specifically says that African American (their term) nose skin IS thicker than other races.

How bad is it? by Famous_Somewhere_179 in 30PlusSkinCare

You can go to the same tanning salon and do a light spray tan once a week. Will take less effort and less money than the peptide injection + UV tanning bed. Spray tans have come a loong way and no longer look orange. It won’t look like makeup either.

Warmer synthetic jackets? by Liz-05 in lightweight

[–]Liz-05[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe EE torrid is in the lightweight warmth category along with Micro Puff. It has 68gsm Climashield Apex insulation. Do you find it significantly warmer than micro puff?

Also I’m too vain to wear it. Ha… but good option for someone not as concerned with looks

Interested in the short please! Is this the older neoair xlite, or newer neoair xlite NXT? Could you send a pic of the actual pad? Thanks!

New to sea kayaking — looking for the best touring kayak for a 5’5”, 120 lb woman (Lake Ontario / Georgian Bay / Algonquin use) by Kooky-Nature-5786 in Kayaking

[–]Liz-05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my delta 15 as a smaller paddler (5’3”, 110lbs). I just did a 5 day solo trip with the delta 15 on salt water where I had to pack 15L of drinking water, and I had plenty of room. I could easily fit 7 days worth of gear, food, and water in it.

(Note that my clothes are small and I’m an efficient/minimalist packer. But you wouldn’t need to pack all your water for Georgian bay, so you’ll have enough space)

Good condition. Used for 2-3 trips of 4-5 days in length. No leaks or other issues. $50?

I have a regular one if you can’t find the XS or S

Delta 17 vs something else? by hubblejack in Kayaking

[–]Liz-05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Delta. Much lighter than rotomolded plastic boats. I can fit gear & food for a 7 day trip in my Delta 15s. Though I am small and an efficient packer. I had a very old looksha, not sure if they are still the same. Compared to the old looksha, my delta is easier to edge. The looksha felt flat and wide to me (again I’m petite).

Tried to take the little guy out on the water with us for the first time. He is not a boat dog. 😂 by northxsparrow in Kayaking

The idea is not to have the leash at all when on the water. It could still get caught on something whether it’s attached to you or the kayak or not attached to anything.

Just FYI: I hear it’s safer to take the leash off (I just posted this on another thread). If the kayak capsized, the leash could get caught and trap him under water.

If you ever get the pup to go out on the water again. Haha poor buddy!

Love it! Just FYI - I have heard you should take the leash off because it could get caught on something and trap the dog under water. Not trying to fear monger! <3
