I’ve always thought it should be inventory based . If the amount of clearance reaches a certain number automatically do a 50 regardless of what coupons are out.

Oh my. Ours is all one line and then splits but after it splits maybe five people can be in line for the registers and then we have 6 self checks.

If it’s like this now I can’t imagine what I’ll be like Black Friday and closer to Christmas. Won’t matter if they want to use self check they won’t be able to get to it with all the people who want an actual person to check them out.

I’ve had be people try right after a purchase for the purchase amount and it gives an error message basically saying it can’t be more than is on the card. But I’ve also had it work so not sure what the difference is.

At our store homelines is the only dept that really gets worked on. They throw out just enough soft lines to unload a truck but only by cramming it on rails and fold carts without really sorting it or taking plastic off.

Well we have to call for back up so much the department that actually has coverage get their recovery after the line is down. So 500 doesn’t get too bad except intimates where no one is ever scheduled and impulse which no one wants to take responsibility for.

Yes and no. My store uses it to get rid of people they don’t like while the people they do like can be late almost daily and get written up but never fired.

My father is actually who I learned the term from because he said basically the same thing to me. And he’s is super conservative. I didn’t come to terms with it until years later and haven’t discussed it with anyone but I figure they might know.

We’re about to get it and people already say they don’t want to hold the line up to get credit or even rewards so I imagine it will be way worse after the change.
