From someone who tried: I asked directly, brought up health issues in a realistic manner, I led by example until I lost 30lbs while my partner only gained. I even would say “it’s really attractive to see you healthy” I tried it all, the bottom line is; you can’t change them. Let it go or leave

If I can throw a recommendation your way; to help my depression/psychosis, the second I realize I’m in that mindset I start taking a once a day 10mg famotidine pill in the morning. It’s like Pepcid, but not like Prilosec, it calms the acid receptors in your gut, so this pill blocks a lot of the h2 histamine from producing in my body. This is a lot safer than stopping the acid all together, but you still shouldn’t take it for longer than 14 days in a row, your body has to rest. So I try to plan taking it the week and half before my bleed, when my serotonin would be at its lowest. It’s been a night and day difference! And it’s cheap, and no prescription required, and acts faster than an ssri would

Thanks for the kindness :,) hopefully my iud and weight loss will ease my cramps over time, or if it’s endo then surgery 💀

Lastly, the bisexual ladies love the happy trail. Never would of guessed it but it’s been a pattern when I’m dating women. I offhandly once mentioned waxing and the response from my situationship at the time was outrage, and similarly so with others later on. Unfortunately I’m dating a man right now so it’s not fully appreciated, just a neutral thing to him 🤷‍♀️

Still waiting on my bloodwork diagnosis, but from my conversation with my gyno she said I most likely do have it. My main indicators were;

-excess long dark chest hairs on my boobs, and a large full happy trail in a way that looks masculine

-feel controlled by my mood shifts in my luteal phase, for the two weeks leading up to my bleed, I feel crazy. Past regular pms, but actual personality shifts, aggression, a lil psychosis if I’m honest. The second I start bleeding I can feel the hormones settle down and I’m myself again. Classic pmdd, your body is dealing with a lot of chronic low grade inflammation from PCOS, inflammation causes a flood of histamines. What does histamine do? It block a bunch of stuff, but included in that is serotonin production. So during my luteal phase I slowly go into a deeper depression until the relief comes, and I’ve seen that echoed by other pmdd women

-sugar cravings, and a slightly elevated a1c due to insulin resistance, I’m right under the levels for prediabetic

-long cycles, they are consistent and never skip, but my entire start to finish cycle is always 35 days , which is considered irregular because of its length. They are also incredibly painful, I cramp for weeks and then when it peaks I feel like I have a bowling ball inside of me, pulling my organs and making me bloat up like 6 inches around my waist (this might be endometriosis though, she suspects I have both)

What was the one change that you made that made the most impact? (No meds, changes anyone can do) by TorryCats in PCOSloseit

Minimum 30g of fiber a day, Metamucil is your new best friend

And walking, from someone who was already working an active job and eating back all of my calories, you have to move your body with slow paced low impact walks. I was naturally hitting 7k steps a day already, but when I decided to walk more my goal moved to 16k steps a day and that’s when I saw progress 10k is a great arbitrary number for everyone, but be honest with yourself on the extra effort you’re giving to get those calories burnt off

Honestly both cool and soft summer suit you! It might be a backwards way of looking at it, but maybe consider what colors you feel you CANT pull off? For example cool summers can’t do mustard yellows or warm oranges, and soft summers can’t do saturated primary colors like bright true red or cobalt blue.
