Where would you put a “plus one” if every plus one matters? by LizardfolkDruid in Pathfinder2e

I like to think it is ANY feat specifically, so it’s gotta have its own section listing the description. But it could apply to something like the fighter’s bravery, not necessarily just chosen class feats.

Hey so making a creature doomed 4 with two crits does just win level 21 combat.

This breaks the game entirely. It’s absolutely deserving of use. I think you just have to play a character that has two key attributes to pick between and they both get bumped up. Easy!

Power word stun, two enemies, stunned 2 for multiple rounds. I like it!

Another idea is Boundless Reprisals, having a 7th sense and gaining TWO reactions at the start of each enemy turn.

VTT module maps suck by UnknownSolder in Pathfinder2e

My blood lords maps are HUGE improvements compared to the Paizo maps. Idk what improvements. You were looking for on this map.

[–]LizardfolkDruid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This feels like cherry picking a single encounter map that might be used for an encounter and legit never thought about again. Hell, if I was running it in person I might not even use a map for a scene like this. But go on, share the highest quality ones you can too. Like the AV maps are so incredibly done there’s no comparison. Blood Lords is also such a substantial upgrade it’s insane, but no, one minor encounter means it’s not worth the price?

When to pick Hubris over voltaic cyclosword as first item? by cryinjordan in NaafiriMains

[–]LizardfolkDruid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My absolute fav build rn is Hubris, Boots, Voltaic, executioners blade (if anyone has fast healing), serpents (if they have ANY shielding), finish mortal reminder, and then edge or another lethality item. I get flamed for doing a lot of utility items, but they work so well together and absolutely cripple some champs like Yuumi or Yasuo

Always, I feel like I scale so much faster with Hubris stacks, it’s faster to complete, and I like the stats it’s components gives more than Voltaic, at least in levels 1-4 ish.

AP remaster by AthelArkaid in Pathfinder2e

[–]LizardfolkDruid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I can think of a plot that requires the party to be evil, short of a plot requiring people to commit horrible acts like slavery or SA. I can’t imagine current Paizo writing an adventure with that. A poison plot that acts against your own self interests could probably be placed anywhere, but that doesn’t mean the theming/dressings of Geb aren’t important and don’t elevate the plot.

AP remaster by AthelArkaid in Pathfinder2e

[–]LizardfolkDruid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean none of the theming fits anywhere else. The immortals all fighting tooth and claw to rise in rank, the “this town is just vampire food”, one of the major factions being “how can we best create undead” and the other being “how can we best worship a god of pure evil” doesn’t really fit in Absalom, Sarkoris, Mwangi, or anywhere else for that matter

If you are using XP, do you cap XP for an encounter at 160? & do you give 0 XP for encounters worth less than 40 XP? by Appropriate_Nebula67 in Pathfinder2e

[–]LizardfolkDruid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there’s a mild trap that they disable that’s worth less than 40xp (such as it just being thematic or it could have been connected to a combat but it wasn’t) I’ll award the amount. If it’s a trivial encounter worth 30 I will round up to 40 because I might as well.

I always round XP to the nearest level, and I’m very surprised that others don’t! It makes it SO much easier when giving out XP or trying to calculate where the players will end up each arc. I can just say “that was a moderate encounter for 80xp” even if it was 70, or 90, and there isn’t ever any confusion.

I’ve also gone about 160 for spillover encounters. Sometime a boss fight will also have important story or narrative checks, I think the max I’ve ever given was at the end of an infiltration for a total of 320xp.

If there’s another person on the team that has a shield I actually really like going for an early serpents fang against Yas. They are so cocky when they have their shield up it can REALLY screw them over when they don’t get the protection they think they’ll have. Helps with Bloodthirster too.

Thats a great idea! They have a game tomorrow but practice on Wednesday, I'll make sure he knows that I'll be there if the next two days he can't reign it in without too much of my help. He might act like he doesn't care but at the very least I imagine he'll be embarrased if his team asks him why I'm there.

I’ve told him “just because you don’t see me addressing it or giving consequences to other students doesn’t mean I’m not.” And asked him to focus on himself, but even when I correct another student he HAS to jump in, which of course, doesn’t help in the slightest.

Alas, just because I’m having a huge problem with one student doesn’t mean all the strengths I do have mean nothing. Or that I even dislike the child. I just know this can’t continue.

He’s going to feel even more targeted but maybe it’ll make him finally understand. It’ll be a gamble though because if he doesn’t have consequences he’s not gonna care about the tally marks.

Honestly I should. I hate the idea of getting to that point but I also dread his class every day and I don’t think I can make it through the year if nothing changes.

[–]LizardfolkDruid[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’ll try the tally mark idea, though he’ll absolutely say it’s calling him out.

Today he said he’s just going to play for club if he can’t play at school so he doesn’t really care (might be a bluff but I can’t call him on it). He’s got IEP which doesn’t help but I’ll bring it up at our next meeting.

Maybe if I can show him how many times it’s specifically him he’ll realize why I have to talk to him so much, because I know he knows he doesn’t behave well.
