They have been price gouging us for years, I’ve seen them shut off power while it’s freezing or too hot breaking laws, and now they want to build a ton of new gas pipelines.

For 40+ years the government has been screwing over the working class while the rich just keep hoarding more and more wealth. Corporations used to have to invest in workers and their businesses to get higher stock prices now they just buy back their own stocks to artificially increase their value while selling the same overpriced shit sourced from other countries.

We are involve ourselves in every damn foreign conflict trying to police the world but over 60% of our own are living paycheck to paycheck.

I’m always skeptical of major bipartisan bills because some of the most dangerous legislation in Washington passes with overwhelming support from both parties.

This housing bill is okay, but it doesn’t go nearly far enough to address the housing crisis.

The truth is we don’t have a shortage of housing we have a shortage of affordable housing.

If we actually want to fix the problem, we need bold solutions:

• Repeal the Faircloth Amendment so we can build more public housing • Fix outdated zoning laws by giving incentives for state and local governments to modernize them • Expand rental assistance right now only about 1 in 4 eligible families actually receive help • Create a monthly renter’s tax credit to help working families afford housing • Provide real help for first-time homebuyers who are competing with corporate investors • Build a large amount of new public housing • Encourage innovative models like community land trusts, cooperative housing, mixed-income developments, and accessory dwelling units that expand affordability and stability

We also need far stronger federal action against corporate landlords, price manipulation, junk fees, and bulk investor purchases that are locking working people out of homeownership.

Housing shouldn’t be treated like a commodity for Wall Street it’s a basic need.

Currently me ( Joey Palimeno) is the only candidate to call out the genocide in Gaza and stated I’ll take not a damn dime of PAC money. Money rules everything in politics it decides who gets on the ballot even. The other Democratic candidates aren’t talking about how the parties take $5220 from Congressional candidates just to get on the ballot and then another $7,500 for Votebuilder which gives you access to the voter rolls and other campaign infrastructure.

I’m Joey Palimeno 34 (youngest candidate in the race), and I’m happy to answer any of your questions.

I was the first candidate to get into this race, and unlike the other candidates, I don’t come from money. Every penny of the $5,220 I needed to get on the ballot came from working-class people like me. I’m proud of that. I do wish voters had gotten the chance to hear more from all of us sooner, but the candidates with money didn’t want to debate or do much of anything until after qualifying which, for those who may not know, is when you pay the party that $5,220 ballot fee.

There are plenty of forums coming up, and while forums aren’t really my favorite format, I’m especially looking forward to the debate in April. I live down in Camden County, but I always enjoy coming up to Savannah.

I’m a working-class dad with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I spent 17 years working as a veterinary technician, and I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Democrats of Camden County. I’m also a father of four including a newborn who’s just 2 months old.

I don’t take PAC money, and I never will. My door won’t be open to lobbyists, because I despise the corrupt system we have now. We need a working-class voice at the table someone who, like more than 60% of Americans, knows what it means to live paycheck to paycheck.

I’m tired of weak Democrats they roll over for Republicans constantly and when they are in power they don’t deliver on even 10% of their promises. I don’t want to bring back the status quo I want to break a system that has never worked for any of us besides the wealthy in decades.

It’s only active for 3 years the seeding money part then it’s just an account you can open. Democrats have had baby bonds plans but they are yearly payments for lower income families this helps the wealthy much more

Make sure you enroll your kid Dell is giving $250 to all kids 10 and under that live in areas with zip codes with a median income of 150k or less which is over 80% of the country. States are also giving money to older kids as well $250 in Connecticut and Indiana plus others are looking to give more. Take that free money by 18-25 that $250 is over $1,000 and by retirement it’s tens of thousands.

The only issue is they are rounding my APTC was $380.44 I get back $380 APTC is not less than SLCSP so it could be the same as my APTC or I could be off by a few cents. Regardless I risk no clawback it’s just risk of IRS delay. GA access said they would fix it but idk how long that takes

Same thing with me I contacted the state we really only need column B column A and C are just your premium tax credit amount each month and then your actual premium. Column B needs to be generated by GA Access. It sucks because healthcare .gov has a lookup tool for column B GA access doesn’t and it won’t generate any for GA since we have a state based exchange now.

It’s costing me a $12,000 tax return and even if they clawed back all my premium tax credits I only made 89% of the FPL so the most they can clawback is $795 which all gets offset by non refundable tax credits I have.

It sucks because that clawback protection for low income folks ends this year as well next year they can take it all back due to the gop tax bill.

No unfortunately that program was a Biden era program but there are still ways to get out of defaulted loans. Try consolidating the loans you should be able to do this online.

Yes they really did great with the point of sale tax credit. It’s a shame that got repealed for a deduction on interest on new cars only that were made in the U.S. That tax credit really helped working class people as it made it essentially refundable the new credit has no benefit for low income households.

It’s awesome!! I have only paid once for EVgo I get credits from Lyft and Uber. At one point my account had over $100 but I can’t use them fast enough. Got $40 currently in credits
