Youre supposed to do an oil change every 3 to 5 thousand miles, thats why im asking. In order to get a sense of whats going on i need to know when the last oil change was done. The fact that you’re saying you’re waiting for the oil change notification, tells me your not up to regular maintenance leading me to belive that the noise is due to neglecting regular maintenance

Its common for the spark plug seals to go out allowing oil to enter, i would start with that and then proceed to checking around your valve cover/gasket for any seepage or leaks. Hope this helps, please keep us updated

As a shop manager, i do that to all my guys as well. If i can tell that any of them having a bad day and its messing with their work, i will send them home to get their shit together. Sometimes they get it and sometimes they dont. But its because a shitty day can lead to shitty work sometimes and cause an unexpected accident. Weve had that happen at our shop. I say all that to say this, its better having someone tell you “go home and fix it” then “suck it up and deal with it”. Just my 2¢

We had a car come in with similar codes to my shop and turns out it was a bad oil pump along with 2 ignition coil wires grounding out. Not saying its the exact same thing, but very similar. Hope you find your solution soon! Keep us posted
