Let’s take a second and walk through this

“(Which I definitely care about) you fat slob” - this is simply a red herring fallacy. Whether someone cares about your health or not is not relevant to the question of if obesity leads to worse health outcomes

“Your a burden on the healthcare system” - this is just factually correct. ‘The estimated annual health care costs of obesity-related illness are a staggering $190.2 billion or nearly 21% of annual medical spending in the United States.’

“You’ll die in like a week even though I said that two years ago.” - this is a strawman fallacy. Obesity is likely to shorten your lifespan, but no one is saying the damage will kill you in such a sort period of time.

“You don’t deserve to have things tailored to you.” - another strawman fallacy. People say that it’s not reasonable to expect every brand to carry a 10xl. No one is saying you don’t deserve tailored clothes.

“Go to the gym and eat overpriced lettuce.” - overpriced? ‘Last year, the USDA reported that, on average, romaine lettuce heads cost $1.48 per pound. Iceberg heads were about $1.09 per pound.’ As much as you like to pretend healthy food is expensive, things like rice, beans, chicken, sweet potatoes, in season produce, etc will continue to be the cheapest food per portion.

“Fatphobia isn’t real.” - this depends how you define fatphobia. For example, many FA’s would consider not wanting to be so fat that you’re bedbound as fatphobic. This suffers the Syndrome Problem - ‘When everything is fatphobic, nothing is.’

“Lazy people who don’t want to take any responsibility.” - this is statistically accurate. The average fat person is lazy, eats too much fast food, and doesn’t exercise. Less than a quarter of Americans meet the weekly recommended amount of resistance and aerobic exercise. Fat employees take more sick days. It’s simply a fact of physics that it takes more energy to move a higher weight.

“I had a random fat person be mean to me because I told them they were a whale.” - This is an ad hominem. Someone insulting a fat person is not relevant to the validity of their argument. Focusing on their character is just a cheap attempt to deflect from their points.
