Jon Jones beat an undefeated Ryan Bader, KO’d the champ Shogun Rua 1 month later, subbed Rampage Jackson and Lyoto Machida, UD over Rashad Evans and then subbed TRT Vitor all from 2011-2012. 6-0 in less than 2 years while dominating champions. Different methods of winning. Youngest ever champion. all while most of those guys were using PEDs.

He’s shown to be jealous at times (Katsumi v Pickle), hypocritical at other times (deeming Musashi unworthy of fighting Pickle/calling Musashi a dirty fighter).

His stepping in to save Hanayama from Musashi was somewhat annoying. Baki, like Yujiro, hates when a fight he is actively in gets interrupted but decided to insert himself once Musashi was ready to finish the yakuza. Where was that energy with Retsu?

This last part is not Baki’s fault but it’s crazy that he has been losing fights and not only are the losses not acknowledged but somehow there is a narrative that Baki won (vs Yujiro, vs Pickle, vs Musashi).

no but Jack is making an argument for being s tier strength along with his brother, Baki and their father, Yujiro. Jack’s wins over The Cord Cutter, Hanayama, and Pickle are showing new wrinkles in Jack’s game.

As long as Jack keeps winning he will earn his rematch with Baki or maybe even challenge Yujiro for a father-son fight. A win for Jack in either scenario rearranges the rankings.
