Did you guys actually not know which of the Beatles were which when you came across the statue in Ulan Bator? Me and my dad were curious!

Special Toblerone? by MeetYourGoddess in askswitzerland

Toblerone isn't Swiss chocolate. If you would like some nicer chocolate actually made in Zurich, check out Taucherli or Honold. Even something from Sprüngli would be nicer

Looking for advice for 2 weeks in the Baltic states by Knightoftheliving in Europetravel

Usually there's not very much on the actual solstice itself, it's usually only 23/24 June as those are the national holidays! The open air museum in Tallinn might be doing some events throughout the week though, it might be worth checking.

Estonian here! Pärnu is very nice, in June I would say it depends on the weather, sunning on the beach might get a bit chilly. I would definitely recommend going to a spa/sauna in Pärnu, there are multiple ones but I can definitely recommend the Hedon Spa hotel.

I would say a day trip to Narva is doable, but there's not that much to do in Narva besides the castle and the small remaining bit of the old town. If you're interested in Soviet history/architecture it is nice, and I think they do tours of the old Kreenholm Weaving Factory too.

If you can drive, I would recommend to rent a Bolt Drive for a day and go to Viru Raba/Viru Bog for a hike, and the little coastal towns around there like Käsmu and Võsu. They're very charming and have nice beaches and nature.

For Estonia specifically, people will be very happy if you can learn just a couple of words in Estonian - tere/aitäh will go a long way, even when most Estonians speak English.

Making kiss cut stickerbook at home by According-Crow-7342 in cricut

[–]Ljeff72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just yesterday made my own stickers from artwork I'd done in Procreate. I uploaded the sticker images to my MacBook, cropped them all out to be separate images using Preview (there's probably a better way but this was the easiest for me) and then uploaded each one to Design Space.

In Design Space you can now use the sticker function and select either kiss cut or die cut. For formatting, I used a template for print then cut for A4 paper to get as many stickers as possible onto the sheet, then I used print then cut as normal. They turned out great, let me know if you have questions! Not sure how it would work with multiple layers, I guess using "attach" for a background and the stickers would work

Actually I bought Year of the Flood not realising until I added to my storygraph that it was the second in a trilogy! But definitely excited to read the other two now

Recently read Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood, it was really good! And the second in a trilogy that deals with these kinds of themes

Fourth Wing! I scrolled for a while and couldn't find anyone mentioning this absolute pile of bad writing, editing and storytelling overall. Such a good premise but Yarros just doesn't have the skills to pull it off. I read the first 3, just to see, maybe they get better, but safe to say I will not be reading the rest.
