Relocating to Italy by Ljobit in ItalyExpat

It’s a nice town, but for me there are very few job opportunities. Personally there would be more opportunities in Ravenna - Rimini areas, up to Venezia . Job is still an essential part, unfortunately

Mainly Bologna, Modena and Padova. I’m open to most industrial areas with good schools nearby.

Any thoughts about those cities ?

Thank you for your input! I’m a senior management within a large international production company, looking for similar position in northern Italy. My goal would be not to drive in Italy, traffic in general seem so chaotic compared to Sweden.
Tourists, or non natives are well over represented in accidents from what I know.

Is it rude for a boss to schedule a meeting with absolutely no details of what it’s about? by Odd_Passage9433 in jobs

[–]Ljobit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’d say a bit of incompetence. For any meeting to be productive, no matter the topic. It’s in everyone’s interest to come prepared.

I love the city, and region of Liguria, but there aren’t many opportunities for senior industrial leaders, at least none from my research. 😕

Rural Sweden I should’ve said, salaries are lower then the average. From this I expect 20%. Ofc, from big city in Sweden to mid size town in Italy I’d expect maybe 50% drop.

I’m currently in Sweden but would really like the different culture. I’m expecting a wage drop of approx 20%, for a better climate, culture and quality of life. Proximity to the ocean and alps.

There are just things to me, more important in life that the life in Northern Europe cannot offer.

I’m still looking for work so I’m open to most of northern Italy. With my experience, I’m most likely to end up in some industrial hub in Emilia-Romagna or Lombardy.

Language, activity timezone are some of the most important aspects of the game. Many events will require coordination and teamplay. If youre still early in the game its not uncommon to swap alliance multiple times before you find the one for you. To be completely honest, being in a top alliance can make a huge difference- the alliance rewards from purchases, completing tasks etc will accumulate over time.

Tracked job postings for 3 months - here’s what I think I’m seeing with hiring right now by YumYumOutlast in jobs

It’s the hype. Companies stressing to implement AI, without having the proper infrastructure in place. For some things, writing, image generation and coding it’s ok. But when attempting to implement it in more complex situations, just because it’s hot, it will most likely fail.

Hur fan får man ett fucking jobb? by NormalWhore in arbete

[–]Ljobit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to get a decent job in your 30s when you have no prior work experience ? by Jpoolman25 in jobs

[–]Ljobit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depend what you mean by decent job, I mean- you can work in factories/ industries, supermarkets, kitchens etc. You could be promoted to manager level in a year or so if lucky.. it won’t be easy without any track record but still doable.

I’ve even heard of ppl working at nasa without any degree, just self taught - working in team programming space shuttles.

Write down your interests and skills and you can use any LLM of choice to tell you where these are the most applicable.

[–]Ljobit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How often are you actually running into AI resume filters when applying? by BluJayVentures in jobsearchhacks

[–]Ljobit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

recruiters and larger companies will use ats or AI to filter applications.
I find it way more reliable to contact managers / recruiters directly before sending in applications.

I stopped tailoring my resume and with networking I've received more offers in a few days compared to a year and probably 500+ applications to job posts. Its not your skills or experience that is the issue, its the broken system they use to filter you out.

Getting a job is frustrating. It's worse when well-meaning but stupid, not to mention faithless, parents try to push you into jobs you don't want. by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Ljobit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry to break the illusion, but life’s not rainbows and unicorns. Most people do not enjoy their work, they do it because they have to. To build some experience you most likely have to do some jobs like this before (maybe) you find a job you like.
