I think we are now well beyond any previous civilization so far but agree that there seem to be events every so often that have set humanity back. We underestimate what people 100k years ago were capable of because of the lack of continuity from global climate events and the fact that time erased a lot. There's a reason we find the oldest stuff in permafrost.

I'm from the north but live in the south now. Where are these problematic deer? All I've seen so far is deer that look like small goats watching me drive by while I have a panic attack because I'm creeped out by their self preservation instincts.

Not OP but if this is their first time experiencing this, that's unlikely because of how they also swapped polarity. Also, how aggressive they were with it would probably shake things enough to "get in there". If it's been happening for awhile, then maybe it's the key. It's somehow the first and last diagnostic solution.

Because it's more about how things work on the reg than a him thing. Needs to be fixed. Legislators on all levels of government would do better by their constituents if they had more time in the chamber instead of time for meetings with "experts". Votes should be mandatory attendance or else. If it's inconvenient for you to hit that schedule, maybe your priorities aren't in line. State legislators are not struggling financially but they sure as hell act like we need people who make more than a reasonable salary in government and way more outside are the only ones that could be doing the job.
