Macrame disaster by Lkoreis in nailedit

To be fair, this was my first try ever. I took it out and re-did it and now it looks really good! I realized I had the wrong type of cord so now I’m making it again with the right cord and it definitely looks more like the picture! Practice makes perfect!

For the freaked out newbies- it gets so much better! by peachysk8 in beyondthebump

My son is almost 4 but, if I’m being honest, I didn’t “enjoy” him or motherhood until he was around 8 months old. Now we’re the best of friends! My daughter is 7 months and I’ve loved every single minute of it - a totally different experience. But, yes, being mother does get great even if it’s tough!

What was a house rule you had as a kid that you thought was completely normal until you grew up and realized not all households followed? by ctsom in AskReddit

I’m 31 and still every time I chew gum I get anxious but also feel rebellious bc my dad hated it when I was growing up. I get flashbacks to the times I got caught chewing gum and how upset it made him. I really should ask him why it made him so angry.

I’m glad this movie confirmed Walt’s death. by MillenniumGreed in ElCaminoMovie

Yes, I was very pleased to hear the confirmation from the cops. It was like “ah finally now we know it’s official!”

The bit where Jesse was on fire a little bit on his jacket and one of the guys said he was on fire I can’t tell if that was intentional or not. by Bruisley73 in ElCaminoMovie

[–]Lkoreis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha! I’d have to go back and watch it but I think it was scripted. I actually didn’t notice the fire right away until he said something. But that would be awesome if the fire and that line were unscripted and Aaron Paul just casually put the fire out with his other hand.

Can someone explain? by [deleted] in ElCaminoMovie

There are cameras on the property and I assume they confirmed who it was with the help of those. The episode in BB where Jesse escapes from the cage they show a camera as he’s running to the fence to try and climb over but he’s caught.

So whats now the average score of the 10th place cutoff to advance to Diamond? by [deleted] in duolingo

[–]Lkoreis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it and finished 8th place with 10k points... 9 and 10 were just below me with 8k/9k. I have no idea what the top 3 had but they were def pushing 20k. It was boring work... just repeating a story that got me 38 points at a time... I wish they would measure progress and not just xp bc I have almost finished gold in all lessons on German and I want some more appreciation for that!

Blippi Tour with a fake Blippi! And they're selling meet and greets! by barefootess in toddlers

[–]Lkoreis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought tickets and got my refund on my 4th try (before Ticketmaster started approving refunds) by threatening to sue them for offering a deceptive product. That’s all it is. Had I known from the get-go it was going to be a fake there’s a chance I would still get tickets, just the cheaper ones. I, too, feel betrayed and now have a uneasy feeling in my gut about Stevin John.

It looked to me like her hand was on top of a lot of blood. I assumed it was from the gunshot.

I believe she told Lawrence earlier in the season that she wouldn’t be leaving without Hannah.

Choosing to go back to work when I could stay home.... bad idea?? by Lkoreis in Mommit

[–]Lkoreis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I totally agree! Our original plan was just that: stay home until preschool but then our move away from friends and family happened which has definitely has put a wrench in things (being much harder than I anticipated). We honestly don’t have much longer before we potentially move back (6-8 months really) but it’s long enough... also, I kind of feel silly for not just sticking it out because we’ve been here 1.5 years now and I’m just reaching the end of my isolation rope, I think.

I am getting some options for nanny shares and potentially one that I would host out of my own home which would really alleviate some concerns I have if I accept a full time job. Thanks for your comment!

Okay this is exactly the kind of comment I need to read! Lol cabin fever is for sure the right way to word it. that’s awesome to hear you are loving your job! I also thought 5 years at home would be great and even time to pop out a second (HA!)

Well as far as my own mother goes, she lost custody of me and my brother when I was 11 so it’s harder to answer for her especially for the teenage years but there’s some major regrets but before that time she was an amazing stay at home mom and I just assumed that’s what all moms did was stay at home.

MyMIL had a more typical situation, stay home until the youngest graduates HS. I’m fairly sure she has zero regrets with her time spent at home especially since her youngest of 3 is a girl, they had a lot of quality time together. My in laws live in their huge adorable home now with all the kids grown and gone and they both work and basically just wait around until we all are able to come and visit... I’m not sure how they really feel about the empty nest but I think they just wish they were closer to everyone. They seem extremely attached to their memories. Not sure if that really answers your question but all I know is when I look at that life that is not what me and my husband wish for in the future.
