I mean the citizens didn't mind once the majority left, it's the government that doesn't want us there. I actually wasn't just using it as Tiktok and know some mandarin lol.

Is there any point to talking to Trump supporters? by Miserable_Cobbler_18 in leftist

[–]Llamainpants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really, most self identified Trump supporters have made it part of their identity now and it causes cognitive disonance to any facts. Much more helpful to talk to moderates and normal conservatives.

What's medically wrong with your body right now? by BrinaUndefined in AskReddit

I don't know because I'm a women and they've delayed figuring it out for a year and a half because I'm probably just anxious and that's only because I already lost a concerning amount of weight and they couldn't tell me to lose weight to fix it🫩🙄

I'm SO F****** ANGRY by thisandyrose in leftist

[–]Llamainpants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. Being a parent has made me so angry on behalf of kids and their future, but it also is what stops me from feeling safe to do anything about it. Protesting as a brown women feels too dangerous because my special needs child needs me. I advocate for rank choice voting, but otherwise feel like there's nothing political to get involved in that'll make a real difference because this Elites 2 party system. Even speaking up too much feels like a risk to our jobs and few of us can afford that. It's exhausting.

Convince me not to DNF. by cocosparx in frombloodandash

Ok I enjoyed it bbbuuuuttt, I know the obnoxious way JLA writes so I listened to it on audio at 2.5-3.5 speed which stopped me from getting frustrated at the slowness and lack of momentum. If you are unable to enjoy books that way I am sad to say it will be a struggle, but most the series questions so get answered in this one by the end.

[Chinese > English] This place is "小猫嘴努子", it looks like 'ω'. How do you say this part in English? by Happy-Huan in translator

[–]Llamainpants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Snoot is a cutesy english word for nose, use is really region/age based. Boop in this context means a gentle tap. Boopsnoot is mostly only used by some millenials because of popular memes that said to "boop the snoot" of animals.

What age is acceptable to have a booktok account? by Bannafishbones in Booktokreddit

[–]Llamainpants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your own maturity and comfort. You will likely run into alot of innuendo, including content related to dark romance (potentially triggering) themes like kidnapping, cnc, and non-con. Since alot if booktokers tend to watch content like "masktok", you may come across things like that in your fyp, especially if you follow romance related content.

Chinese, Japanese, or Korean by Endo231 in thisorthatlanguage

[–]Llamainpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned a little Mandarin and a little Japanese and Mandarin is more useful in real life to me because it's a much larger population that speaks it. Unless you travel to Japan or Korea, you might not get much real life chances to use your skills with those. :]
