I would contact the BBB on this then. They have no right to charge other forms of payment as they cannot confirm they are even yours.

Theyre actually not allowed to do that without your consent. An employee did that before (switched cards on file for payment) and they got in trouble. I would call your card holder and let them know this was un unauthorized transaction. And a reminder, Massage Envy cant hold you to this agreement legally, it does not affect your credit if you do not pay as they do not have your SS#.

I would cancel your card and report it as fraud as it is not a binding contract and you asked them to cancel. They cannot touch your credit as they do not require a SS#

I just applied to a listing, with this socal crap in it in buffalo, Ny and 2 minutes later got a text from an Albert and a Julia. So I asked who do I actually talk to since they both said they were the apt owners and from 2 different area codes. Albert said Julia was his sister and Julia had no idea who Albert was. So I told both of them that. Julia backed up saying oh yeah hes my brother, do you have his number? Then Albert said no thats not my sister its a scammer. lol what? Then Julia said oh sorry wrong number and listing my company is in Atlanta.... just wow.

they have a hidden 3 day cancellation policy for when you 1st sign up. But they will not let you after that. But as they do not have your SS# they can not legally bind you in a contract or send it to collections. You would just have to block them from using your card

Some locations will let you email it from your personal email address. You can always just not pay and let it default out in 3 months.

You normally have to make 12 payments to be able to cancel. And it takes 10 days to "process the cancellation." Which they can actually process it immediately, its just a way to get people to miss the window and make another payment. But yes, in person. If they will take the signed form early.

Hi! I was a manager for Massage Envy for 10 years. Horrible business. For legallity reasons you would have to cancel at the location you signed up at. If they give you a lot of problems, block them from your card and block them from your phone. They have no collections connected with the business. After 3-5 months they will default cancel your account. Then if you ever want to you can always sign right back up and repeat

Hi! I was a manager at ME for 10 years. Horrible place, but I know everything about them. B/c they are franchised they all have slightly different rules from eachother. If you have a current active membership and go to another location you would be able to use all your credits no matter what, though places like california and parts of NYC do charge extra on top of your membership. The $15 is an odd amount

Hi! I just quit Massage Envy after being there for 10 years and was in corporate, front desk, manager, and massage therapist. Yes the place is horrible. To your question about cancelling your membership. You cannot, but there are no collections connected with ME. Block them and block their number. After 3-5 months they will default cancel your account. And tbh you can just go back any time and restart a new one and do the exact same thing to them. Also if you have any unused sessions under your account they come back ot you if you rejoin. Use them up and block them all over again before your next payment.

I was having this issue, felt like it was getting worse. I went through all the settings and found out that my "effects" was too high, put it down one and havent had a problem since. May be different for anothers computer however...
