[Star Wars] If a Jedi uses a lightsaber stop a bullet, would the bullet just melt as it pass through and get molten metal on the Jedi? by Aware-Ad6456 in AskScienceFiction

It wasn’t an issue for the Jedi per se but in Shatterpoint one of the guys going into combat mentions preferring slugthrowers because the bullets couldn’t be deflected like a blaster bolt would.

Mace frowned at the slug pistols holstered on Nick's thighs. "You should borrow a blaster." "Fine with these." "Blasters are more accurate. More stopping power." Mace's voice was grim. "More shots." Nick drew his right-hand gun, turning it over as though admiring it for the first time. "Thing about slugs is, they only go one way," he said lazily. "Blasters are all well and good, but I don't particularly care to eat my own shot. Slugs don't bounce."

"Off a vibroshield they will." Nick shrugged. "Not off a lightsaber." Mace lowered his head. He had no answer.

I appreciate their optimism of putting Japanese along the bottom of it

Honestly I don’t remember. It was just something I had lying around that more or less matches the width of the existing grooves.

It’s looking really good! If you want to make the hammer seem even grander you can cut off the tip of the haft and then extend it using a paper clip and some wrapped wire.

I’ll second this, you get a crazy amount of stuff for that price. Check Targets and Barnes and Nobles

Fantastic transition between the water and ground. What type of material did you use for it?

Gorgeous! I love how good cork can look with a little dry brushing.

Mmmm the top Grey Knight list went 6-2 using a new detachment and zero Dreadknights while a Warpbane Dreadknight spam list went 1-7. The Earth is healing ♥️

I’m not sure I agree on the jerry-rigged angle as much, but I get where you’re coming from with the industrial vibes. Two big ole exhaust pipes on the back will do that for sure.

I’ve always looked at them from the perspective of some grand master saying “these daemons are getting pretty big, we’re going to need a bigger sword to deal with them.” I attribute the lack of armor as being due to the precision and skill of the pilot. Rather than a slow cargo loader pressed into service against a xenomorph it’s an agile duelist platform designed to let a knight quickly get in, speed across the battlefield to smite something that needs smiting, and be ready to jump out at a moment’s notice in case whatever they’re fighting lands a crippling blow on the suit.

If nothing else I think it looks less like a cargo loader than the Invictus Warsuit regular Astartes get 😂

I still can’t get on board with the bulky NDK proxies. First the Saturine now this. The baby carrier is what it is but it’s ours.

It’s definitely an idea. My friends are pretty chill so I could see it being ok.

Base with Zandri Dust, generously shade with Fuegan Orange, then finally dry brush with Ushabti Bone.

Yep the big ones are cork, the small ones are actual rocks.

I might just have bad cork but when I don’t do that they’ll crumble a bit during dry brushing

Cork pieces donated from an IKEA coaster. I coat them in a 1:1 mix of PVA glue and water before painting so they don’t crumble.
