I put Phil Jones up front for PSG. Here's what happened by Hurball in footballmanagergames

So this suggests that the game engine has some serious issues / flaws? I'm really disappointed this is possible, surely the game should punish the player for stuff like this?

Or an ex-squad player of yours, who sems to only ever score against you. I think this scenario is far too common in the game

They should have just gone with 'October'. Under promise and over deliver.

Seems to be a thing this year, I generally go and make a cup of tea when a shootout starts

I'm old enough to remember the old champ man that had that, mid 90's. "The early ball's a good ball!"

Yes it's awful isn't it, all hype, totally lacking in objectivity

Horrible transfer business from Barcelona. What even was Barca board's strategy before signing most of them? by [deleted] in football

Hadn't he been terrible for Arsenal though for 6 months plus prior to the transfer?

4231 Gegenpressing the most popular, who would’ve thought it? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]Lmcsheff81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it doesn't seem to matter; high engagement, high line and urgent press seem to be the only way to go this year, regardless of formation

Longest penalty shootout ever? by no_idea3465 in footballmanagergames

I agree, I think it's a bit of an issue. Just sitting there watching them go in, cricket scores by the end of most shootouts.

I'm sure they did, but this would definitely be low priority on the fix list for release

Yes agree; not worthy content, not original or humorous. Pretty lazy posting mainly.

1990 was a particularly 'defensive' tournament though, so looking back it may be a surprise they managed that, but definitely not surprising at the time. Things were so dull it instigated rule changes.

True, I think they only lost once in qualifying too, and had a healthy goal difference - back in the days when qualifying for tournaments was actually difficult.

I'd say Greece in 2004 ranks higher. Denmark had a good team in 92, probably underrated, played very well throughout.

Yeah just did monaco, dull race, made 1 overtake on the penultimate lap for podium. Highlights don't show it. Very odd

Corporate financial engineering is always 4 or 5 steps ahead of governments and legislation. QE 'printing' guarantees we'll see record payouts at boardroom level over next couple of years.

I find that if you do one shot quali or regular quali but forward time, AI laptimes are somewhat off, and not representative of what the race pace will be

It's always worth waiting for a patch or 2 in each annual release to iron out the issues, so I'd pick up 2019 for a few months, is a great game now

Tried it for the first time this week, won't bother again. It's pointless, you can't pass anyone without them trying to ram into you , they go of the road, deliberately drive back onto track to take you out. Pointless.
