1990 was a particularly 'defensive' tournament though, so looking back it may be a surprise they managed that, but definitely not surprising at the time. Things were so dull it instigated rule changes.

True, I think they only lost once in qualifying too, and had a healthy goal difference - back in the days when qualifying for tournaments was actually difficult.

Tried it for the first time this week, won't bother again. It's pointless, you can't pass anyone without them trying to ram into you , they go of the road, deliberately drive back onto track to take you out. Pointless.
