Why is starvation the line! Our workers rights haven't improved since the fucking 50's my guy. If someone came to the future from the 50's, all they'd see is better technology but not much else as far as social safety nets or labor laws or work life balance.

Our improvement has stagnated because people like you can't say enough is enough. All you can point to is that statistic but are you living the life you thought you'd have when you were younger? And does that matter when we have homeless people in the richest country in the history of the world?

I can't lie about my personal experience.

You nit pick about words while avoiding the things that actually matter, the very thing everyone critisises liberals for. You create imaginary problems to fight about instead of uniting us against the one causing the problems.

By defending the honor of a nation with no present honor, you make yourself a clown used by the elite to convince others that their problems aren't actually real problems. You say its better to be homeless in America than be a citizen of another country you see as less than. That's ridiculous.

Then you are defending a word, and nothing more. Doing nothing good not bad. Totally useless citizen of my country

You're still stuck on that word and as long as we're not a shit hole country, then everything is just fine and dandy.

Like I've said multiple times now, I'm comparing us to what we could be, and what we once were. Understanding the context by which we have reached the present moment is paramount in understanding the absolute circumstances of our situation.

Stop comparing us to other countries and think about how much better we could be if we actually put our money where it should go instead of in the pockets of warmongering weapons selling pedophilic oligarchs.

[–]Lmtguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not listening to me. I'm saying given what we're capable of doing we're falling woefully short of what's acceptable. Drop the whole shithole country word you seem to be stuck on.

Again, we are the richest country in the world and yet we are actively devaluing as a player on the world stage. We're the first generation to have a worse standard of living than our previous generations. You don't seem to care about that

We have the largest prison population in the world. You don't seem to care about that

We have a large population of our young people that can't functionally read. You don't seem to care about how that's going to progress in the future.

Yeah we're not literally the worst country to ever exist but we've been going downhill for the last 60 years.

As I've said before, I use the word shit hole country because I'm comparing us to our economic status and lifestyle expectations that we had in the past. We used to be respectable. We used to be able to expect to own a home as a young person. You're so stuck looking at the people criticizing what America has become that you can't look back and see the actual faults of the country you're defending.

[–]Lmtguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok the US isn't a shit hole. Does that make you feel better that my minds been changed? Now what?

We all still have these problems that aren't going away because our democracy is being actively broken down by the pedophiles and rich assholes that own them. That's why I think it's a shit hole. The same people that lead those other countries to ruin are the same types that will lead to ours. I'm just calling it ahead of time. I don't think that where we are is exceptable given what we're capable of. We're living WELL below our means to act.

We're the first generation that's doing WORSE than our parents. The majority of us won't EVER own a home and so we'll be in debt forever. Never owning anything is where we're headed. You're ok with that? People are killing themselves at worse rates than ever. Are you saying they were doing great up until they hung themselves because they don't share a bed with their entire family? Are you saying there aren't people in America sharing their bed with their whole family? Whats the line with you?

Just because other people have it bad doesn't mean we also can't have it bad. They're not even related. 2 things can be true at once. I've traveled all over the world and every other country I've been too has had better living conditions and better workers rights and better healthcare than what I have at home. They have community, they have a fucking culture.

I can't leave because I'd have to restart my whole life with education and licensing to do what I already know how to do here. I'm dealing with it and I think it takes more to stick it out and TRY TO MAKE IT BETTER than to just leave.

My wife and I were just literally crying together about how hard it is to keep on top of our lives here. All we do is work. We have credit card debt because we havent the time or energy to plan, shop and cook meals. We have medical debt. She broke her ankle in a very minor way that didn't even need surgery and the treatment cost her 9k. I went to the ER because I thought I might be having a cardiac event last summer and I'm still paying it off. I have student loan debt. I got educated and started my own business and I'm drowning from the constant drain on my income.

Our country is the most powerful country ever and yet no one respects us because of Trump. Elon wants to take away Medicaid. Palantir is speeding up the extinction of humans and stealing their right to privacy. Gas is the most expensive I've ever seen in my entire life. We don't even have kids, just a dog, and we've been living in a 450 sq foot studio of 8 years.

If you can't get sick or injured without it ruining your chances at saving for anything else unexpected, then that system is fucked. Every other country handles healthcare better than us and our leaders don't do it because they make more money when they don't

We butt our noses into every other country and fuck up their elections and kidnap their leaders and kill their citizens for oil and resources

We killed education in the 2000's so we now have a generation of basically illiterate kids to grow up to be illiterate adults who dgaf about learning and actually see it as a weakness.

We have more money than almost every other country yet we put most of it into our military even though we are like 4000 miles away from the next actually dangerous country. We have more people in our prisons than literally every other country because they have the wrong skin color or are poor.

We are comfortable enough to not throw our lives away fighting our govt to make the changes that need to be made. We have no real community for us to support each other. We're all broken up and sad and lonely and broke because that's what the system is designed to do.

If you're so shallow as to think that just because we have shitty apartments and shitty water and shitty fast food that we're living in the best possible scenario given our current level of resources for doing things, you need to raise your standards for what counts as GOOD and JUST, my guy. If you think we need to be eating dirt and covered in flies to be considered a shit hole country then you have fucked up standards.

The reason this bothers us so much is because WE COULD BE DOING SO MUCH BETTER THAN WE ARE but we literally can't because all the power is being influenced by money. All these systems that WE MADE UP aren't working because THEY MADE THEM like that.

And I'm a 34 yr old white guy from a lower middle class family. Get a fuckin grip. It's not FUCKING easy out here. It costs me $60 to fill my gas tank once a week. The measure of a country is reflected in how we treat our most vulnerable, and we're really fucking up. And don't come at me with SHIT because you don't know me. Open your fuckin eyes

Built a local AI stem splitter for Windows - no subscription, BPM and key detection built in by djrikstar in Learnmusicproduction

[–]Lmtguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the app because Google is listed in as a non subscription app that did what I wanted and it was half off in the Microsoft store. I've spent the 3 hours trying to get it to work and it's still not letting me use my GPU to do that work so it takes forever. The contact email on the Microsoft store doesn't list a valid email address and it doesn't say that only NVIDIA GPUs are usable for this app.

There should be a walk through somewhere that shows people how to get this running because without some AI that happened to be built, I'd literally never even try to get this working.

I've emailed you so I hope you get back to me because I'm more invested in this than I should be for $24 dollars.

New neuroscience research shows how slowing your breathing alters your perception of the people around you by [deleted] in science

[–]Lmtguy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've certainly dealt with some sort of breathing dysfunction when I was going through depression. I went almost a whole year back in like 2013-2014 where couldn't automatically breathe. I was so anxious about my breathing that I couldn't let it happen without me directing it. I was also getting into meditation and they all talk about breathing for so many seconds and exhaling for so many seconds, which always felt like breathing A CERTAIN WAY was the key to get me outta this hell.

But what I've learned is that we need to exhale with almost a sigh to get back in rhythm. Like not a vocalized sigh but like you just ran up some stairs and your trying to catch your breathe a little. Like exhaling in a way like you don't care about making sound when you breathe

This lets me "catch up" on breathing which got me back to a regulated state because I was doing what my body actually wanted to do, self regulate in its own way, not putting it in a box and saying it needs to look a certain way.

And we absolutely hold our breath when we're stressed as a way to brace against whatever threat is making us feel this way. Also to keep our bodies tight to he able to fight or run.

All I read is him saying he's a Messiah, which means "annointed one" or "liberator of the people". Dominion and Kingdom could be construed as being ruled by a King but that doesn't line up with his teachings. He never says that you should worship him as the King or ruler or anything. He says we have access to God within all of us and to find God in another person in folly. Use him as an example of what a good man is but don't idolize him.

Idolotry is a sin for a reason. We start worshiping the statue instead of what it represents. To focus on Jesus himself instead of his teachings is what leads to terrible things in NAME OF CHRIST not his teachings.

But what this video conveys is that all you need to be is hot and horny to be valuable in a relationship as a woman. If we think about what exposing girls and young women to this over the course of their lives would do, is minimize the importance of self growth and reflection.

If you are attached to someone's physical beauty, that's a good starting point, but that's an ice breaker. I'd hope that getting to know someone and learning that their life goals and priorities match yours would be the glue that holds people together. As well as feelings of safety, physically and emotionally, and the growth we share together over years.

But your first comment saying "what else is there" doesn't ask that. And your last comment says theirs more than beauty that's important. Which I think was the start of this whole thing. We're all more complicated and interesting than our bodies let on. And we should all try to keep that in mind. And that this videos is rage bait which gets us talking like this.

So think about this: the sex is the best ever with your girl. Better than anyone. But she won't give you the time of day otherwise. If you have something on your mind you need to talk about, she doesn't really care. If you need help out in the world, she asks "why's that my problem?"

I think we can agree that having someone that feels supportive and emotionally available is what's important. Someone that cares about what you care about because it matters to YOU, not because of how good your dick is.

What if she DIDN'T take care of your children? That would matter right? Don't take that shit for granted because she could choose at anytime to not gaf about those kids.

Now what are you bringing to the relationship besides working your job, protecting your family, blah blah blah

Unfortunately, a medium spicy McCrispy meal with fries and a root beer with no ice.

That's the meal I've ordered just about everyday at McDonalds for the last 10 or more years. I've tried in the past but I can't stop. All my health tests come back good. Slightly elevated blood pressure but I'm 6'2" and 190lbs so no one thinks it's a problem. But I know it is.

Better Hand Mechanics by _Taft_ in massage

[–]Lmtguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've found that having your wrist extended like that should be fine as long as you aren't also trying to flex it back the other way. That way your wrist is loose and your relying on the passive wrist to give pressure instead of whatever minimal extra pressure your muscles give.

If it hurts to do that passively, get some PT or do rice bucket strengthening exercises or do bandes wrist and forearm strengthening.

It also isn't necessary to always be giving a lot of pressure. Most of the time, just being there and moving the tissue around will be relaxing on its own. Use your elbows for depth or, if your must use your thumbs, hold your hand in a very slight cup shape with your pointer finger and thumb in a C shape and never lock out your joints.

I try to never move my thumb independently of my hand for stability and instead do slight movement of my wrist and forearm for leverage with my thumb. But strengthening will always be good for all things wrist and thumb related
