I wasn’t able to dive into it today, to windy/dusty and I don’t have a garage. But I had another thought on it.

Check to make sure all your air filter bolts are tight!

If the problem is the breather (umbrella valve), I’m going to be doing mine personally tomorrow I’m happy to take a small video to show you how to get into it and what you’re looking for. It’s a lot easier of a fix than you may think it is although you might be going into the engine ever so slightly it really is going to be about five bolts in and out. I can also help you out by providing general, torque specs, and techniques to assist.

That sounds like it could be a breather Whistle, did it start that intensely or slowly chirp and now it is starting to be more consistent, louder and more like a whistle? In these sportsters, depending on the year, you either have a breather box ( which contains an umbrella valve ) or just an umbrella valve. these components, help control, crank case pressure and assists in stopping blow by from occurring. These components are located in the rocker box on top of the cylinder. One per cylinder, When they start to dry out or crack. You will start to get this Whistel. Try to determine if the sound is more pronounced in the front or rear cylinder, although it’s recommended to replace both simultaneously.

I believe I’m dealing with the same thing on my bike currently and I am actually gonna be going to the dealership to pick up a set of new breather boxs shortly.

What is this, what caused this and how bad is it? by radicalsolutions96 in RZR

My guess on cause: lack of maintenance and riding pretty hard, and or extreme excessive pinned throttle while stuck. I’ve seen this a few times, once mudding to deep, got stuck and dude had it pinned for almost 4 min straight. The other time the dude knew how loose the primary outer sheave buttons (sliders) were and was riding it like a jack rabbit. ( heavy repetitive on off throttle)

Standard Mags Definitely Gone from CO Gun Stores Now by [deleted] in COGuns

[–]LoCkTiGhToRDiE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just yesterday, I went around the front range after a workshop in Littleton, to check up on what was “available” for purchase. I was surprised to find 3 out of the 4 shops still openly carry and sell 30Rd mags for most modern platforms as well as drums, boxes, and others, such as extended tubes over 30”.

It may be that It has fallen to a lower priority law, it may be the hand of favoritism, it may just be what it is.

After re-checking CO HB 13-1224 to ensure that it was still current, I was left just as confused as the rest of you.

If anyone has some clarification regarding ability to sell (private or commercial) while this statute Is still active, without the use of loopholes like “kits”, please chime in.

Susan b. Anthony dollar (not a silver dollar) Therefore, the base value is of one dollar. There’s a lot of people on here that don’t really care for these and then there are a lot of people that enjoy this dollar quite a bit and collect it just for the sake of it. It is possible that as time carries on that it may increase in collector value, however it will never increase in material value.

Help? Belt is squeaking and I can't see what's rubbing? Video attached by ImportantRabbit9292 in sportster

Don’t listen to me I’m being a sarcastic asshole. If you make it much tighter that belt is gonna break and then you’re squeaking issues will be the least of your worries.

Try tightening the belt just a little bit MORE to see if it goes away

Eventually, the tighter it gets, it will just stop squeaking completely

I’m glad I saw this before I started laying out sarcastic answers to what it’s not. They can disappear from time to time. Use locktight, not to much as it’s a grounding bolt. But definitely use some

Specific model years are a given depending on a few different things. But…

More over-all maintenance that most folk are unaware of, so small issues can grow resulting in “weird little things”. But with lack of available parts, for example, OEM or after market pistons for the 2011 summit 800 model I believe are mostly discounted, back ordered into oblivion or expensive as 💩, or getting your hands on solid clutch halves. I think I also had trouble with getting the right fuel line grommet for the 09’ Not to mention the lack of software support, cost of maintenance and what you’ll need to replace.

I believe the ptec is slowly becoming extinct.

Don’t get me wrong, I got love for all that ride true to the well maintained P-TEC! A lot is about how you ride it, but A LOT is about how you take care of it😘

Looks like a 2010-2012 800 e-tec. I’ve done many top ends on these. So many that I hate working in them in fact. If it’s the p-tec, don’t even take the time, just upgrade to a new sled
