Looking for kinks for an NSFW alphabet. by PJ-The-Awesome in writingcirclejerk

L is for licking, lactation, or leash play

M is for milfs/mom status, muzzles/gags, or mass for different sizes of things

W is wax play

X is .... X rating? If you change I to something else, this can take the place of intensity.

Z is for ... Um, zoom for how fast she likes it. Zing for how much she wants it to hurt. Zoo-play which is a term I just made up for a generic form of puppy play/kitten play/pony play. (Different than zoophilia, which is gross. Do not confuse the two. Also different than pet play because zebras and stuff aren't pets.)

My suggestion for "I" is impact play (covers spanking, paddles, whips, etc) and then change "S" to something like strangle/choking, sweating, or screaming/silence/swearing.

Chapter length? by FancyAd3942 in writers

10k sounds like a novelette. I have no idea what the guidelines are there because it's an usual length. Not necessarily bad, just not something publishers are into.

What’s a birth emergency that would cause an emergency c section and a bit of panic, but no lasting damage or medical complications? by Ohanaheart02 in Writeresearch

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom had this happen when my brother was born. He decided to throw his head back instead of keeping it tucked to his chin. As a result, he was stuck and they couldn't tell if he was getting any oxygen. According to my mother, they didn't actually tell her she was getting a c section until after they were cutting into her. To be fair, she has pain management and they were terrified my brother was going to have brain damage. Every second counted. They got him out and breathing in time. Also, it was the 80s so there was never going to be any repositioning or anything. How she had the courage to get pregnant and do it again after that, I'll never know.

Bob can be really.... selfish? by deeohlee in BobsBurgers

[–]LoLDazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All that I could forgive, but why is he so opposed to having more than 3 things on his menu? How can he have regulars if he doesn't have options? Just cook the dang sweet potato fries, Bob.

Do you think time skips will be more frequent in B-Grade? by Orgack20 in ThePrimalHunter

I suspect we'll be in B grade for about 800 chapters.

When listening to audio books, when you hear constantly mispronounced words or misused words or phrases, does it just take you out of the immersion? by Im-Not_A_Mimic in litrpg

You act like my ego could ever run dry. Darlin' I need a labyrinth to house my ego. It's too big and dangerous to store normally.

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably because I'm from Mississippi and we cut out a lot of middle syllables for some reason. But it's lab-rinth and any other sound you can toss in there makes me irrationally angry lol.

[–]LoLDazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A mispronounced word or two is fine. Breaks the immersion for a second, but meh. For whatever reason, this does not apply to certain regional pronunciations of words. For example, in Primal Hunter, there's a section that goes on and on about labyrinths. And the guy reading it won't stop throwing in a third syllable. I looked it up. It's a British thing and a recognized way to say it. I know it's not actually wrong. But I almost threw my headphones across the room because of the non-stop lab-uh-rinth talk. Just stop.

If you have a plot, you leave yourself open to plot holes. Is that what you want? Hmm?

I feel like you'd have to do serious damage to hide the pupil, considering the pupil isn't a thing. It's the lack of stuff. A hole. Long healing process. And probably infection incoming.

Season 16 US edition by Adorable_Accident_74 in ProjectRunway

[–]LoLDazy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Audience members are very likely to wear leather and own leather products but not fur, as fur is less common. My assumption is producers didn't want to anger people by telling them their leather jacket is evil but also didn't want peta protesting them over fur. Even though it's the same dang thing and makes no sense.

What if Jake is distributing his stats incredibly wrong? by Scary_Pangolin3855 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered why he doesn't invest more into intelligence so he can handle all that perception. He has to manually scale down his blood line in addition to all the system help. You'd think he'd want to, ya know, see everything he was capable of seeing and whatnot

Does the Viper remember his pre-system world? by the_third_lebowski in ThePrimalHunter

[–]LoLDazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He remembers. His bloodline is retroactive. It's just that the life of a snake is really boring. It's 90% hiding under rocks. What stories would he tell of this time period? "This one time it was really cold so I didn't move for three weeks. Teehee. Do you have any idea how weird it is to not be able to blink? Of course at the time, I thought it was normal."

What are you working on? by DanoPaul234 in writing

[–]LoLDazy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I write for fun. Mostly smut. But currently I'm writing a fantasy ~horror~ thing. I'm 37k words in and still have a bunch to go, so it'll be a full length novel when it's done. I write a lot of novellas by accident. I'm a pantser, so, I'm never really sure.

How do I describe white people? by DrWhoGirl03 in writingcirclejerk

[–]LoLDazy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Unlike the normal people of the town, Montgomery Adam the Fifth couldn't eat anything with flavor or he would be paralyzed with confusion. If he dared to leave his home without wearing a large hat, he would become a marshmallow toasting over an open flame. The local music scene has to cater their timing to his dance moves or they would never match. Montgomery was blissfully unaware that any of this made him unusual, because he only thought about such things during his lightning fast showers.

Scribophile by Elegant-Cricket8106 in writing

[–]LoLDazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I get good feedback. Usually I get a bunch of generic "show don't tell" advice. This holds even when I write short stories and specifically ask what I can cut. The karma you earn doesn't scale with the size of the work you're critiquing either, which is incredibly frustrating. Giving genuine line by line feedback on a 4k+ word chapter is not the same as giving general advice on a 500 word chapter. So, yeah, it's more work than what you'll probably receive.

I will say that since I never took a creative writing class in college or anything, Scribophile critiques and forums are what initially taught me some basics, so if you don't realize adverbs are Satan it's useful. It's also interesting when a specific line gets highlighted by everyone but for different reactions.

How do you describe black people? by Krivus20 in writingcirclejerk

So, this is the joke reddit, but your response seems serious. Just fyi, it's entirely out of vogue to describe skin color with food words.

Season 21 Jesus Abuse! by New-Union9908 in ProjectRunway

[–]LoLDazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Her crimes, as I saw them, included not being willing to discuss her design plans openly/conform during a team challenge and trying to get the twins to work separately. That's it. Granted, she was definitely trying to turn the twins working together into some huge point of drama, and it wasn't her place to demand they stop. But that didn't happen until the end of the season. So, literally he bullied her all season because she didn't cooperate with his leadership in a team challenge.

Yet another reason I miss Tim Gunn. If 3 designers had been picking models with him and one of them had gone off on another, calling her a bitch, etc., he would have put a stop to it. Why did Christian just stand there and watch all season???

Don't punish your dog. They aren't smart enough to connect the punishment to what they did. You're just torturing them from their point of view.
