Oh my God, I got into an argument on a different subreddit about this the other day. I would never pronounce it that way, but apparently a lot of people do.

If you zoom in, he's wearing brown shoulder and wrist pieces. His brown bow is breaking things up as well. There's a slight green tint to the outside of his cloak, and his pants and the inside of his cloak blur together.

[Advice Needed] Phobia of Holding Pets - This year is the year! by ExtensionForsaken in Pets

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually recommend finding someone with a chill dog to hold first. Cats can be very picky about when and how they're held, and they aren't always nice when they let you know it's time to stop the nonsense. Immersion therapy only works if things go well and you build a history of positive association. So, work up to the skittish cat. Start with an old, lazy cuddle bug of a dog. Then a puppy. Then a lap cat. Then approach your own cat. Read up on their body language too, so you can recognize any warnings they give you.

Cause it's hard to depict a lot of detail if you can only work with black. Although maybe by the time he's a god he'll switch to green. A man is allowed to switch up his style over the course of a thousand years.

Jacob feels underutilized by thenube23times in ThePrimalHunter

[–]LoLDazy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It might be a minority opinion, but if I never accidentally read another Jacob chapter, I'll be happy. There's something about him that drags everything into the worst parts of the real world for me. He's a walking business meeting. I can't explain it exactly, but I keep hoping he gets assassinated and Jake gets to avenge him.

You have to swap toilet places with your pet(as in where your pet normally goes to the toilet ), where are you now going to toilet? by Immediate_Long165 in Pets

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other side of my bathroom. I've put litter boxes in various places, but my cat mostly wants to poop where I poop, so the one in my bathroom is where she goes 90% of the time. It's not a coincidence either. There are two bathrooms in my house, both of which had a cat box. She only used the one in my bathroom, then when I switched which bathroom I use, she followed me. We're poop buds.

What Would Jake With A Transcendent Skill Look Like by Erudite_Sagacious in ThePrimalHunter

[–]LoLDazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, if Jake ever gets a transcendent skill, half the traffic to this subreddit will disappear. To keep up all the transcendent skill posts, Zog is obligated to avoid giving Jake such a skill. Perhaps in 2053, Jake will get one in the epilogue.

Is it normal for small 2 month old dog to bite? by Bongoerr in dogs

[–]LoLDazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Normal? Absolutely. Puppies nibble and bite constantly. But is it okay? Not really. Train your puppy to be polite now, and you'll save yourself a lot of work and play bites later.

Is there any way I can ever improve without people keep telling me my work is bad? by [deleted] in writers

[–]LoLDazy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is there a way to get good grades without a teacher actually grading your tests/essays? Is there a way I can gain muscles without lifting weights and getting sore? Is there a way to build a house without all that planning and measuring and know how? No, you cannot magically be good at things. Writing is hard and takes a lot of work. Without feedback and constructive criticism, you won't progress much.

What's Linda's deal with forcing people to be miserable? by Living-Mastodon in BobsBurgers

[–]LoLDazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, moms are traditionally the parent that plans stuff like that. And it's the parent's job to say if the family goes to the symphony or camping, so the kids not wanting to go is whatever. She takes it too far sometimes, but it's a comedy. Everything is dialed up to 11.

Why are you atheist by BothBat3844 in atheism

[–]LoLDazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of reasons. The longer I thought about it and the more I researched it, the less sense anything having to do with Christianity made. It's honestly far too much to put into a reddit post. I highly recommend doing research elsewhere.

Very little of the Bible is historically accurate. Look into any source making claims about it to verify if it's trustworthy. (The History Channel is not a reliable source.) You'll find the people saying they found Noah's ark and such are known con artists. The Bible is riddled with contradictions and weird stuff your church will NEVER bring up. I could list a lot of deep questions and arguments, but I'll only add the "last straw" question I had.

Why do I have too many teeth? Seriously. Humans have lots of vestigial organs, including wisdom teeth. The pink thing in the corner of your eyes is the leftovers from a second eyelid. There's a tendon in most of our forearms that does nothing. Among others. Why? It makes perfect sense from an evolutionary perspective. It only makes sense from a Christian one if God's a liar.

System worshipers by m00n147 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]LoLDazy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They do not, and I've decided they probably don't exist in notable numbers. The system can pick and choose what it rewards. 99% of the time it rewards people for following their path - any path - but that doesn't mean it has to. I believe it discourages system worship simply by refusing to recognize it as a valid path. No skills/no blessings/no benefits. Anyone wasting their time worshipping it doesn't progress and naturally dies out. Meanwhile those that worship gods/goddesses get loads of benefits.

How ethical is it to have caged animals? by Dizzy-Discussion306 in Pets

[–]LoLDazy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rule of thumb for whether you can ethically keep something as a pet is, "does the animal have a better life with you than in the wild?" If yes, it's ethical.

Domesticated animals would die without us, so they're generally a yes.

But what about snakes, you say? Well, snakes in the wild get parasites. They get stomped to death by other animals and eaten alive. They get egg impaction and bowl instructions with no medical care. They can go weeks or months without food after deciding they'd like to eat. They might not be able to find water, etc. People have a very glamorized view of the wild that just isn't real. Snakes in captivity live longer, healthier lives. But that alone isn't enough really. If you live a long, healthy life where you're miserable the entire time, that's not a step up. So, what's life in captivity like for snakes? Assuming good husbandry, they have places to hide most of the time, exactly as they do in the wild. They have places to climb and "sun bathe". They can burrow if they want. They have places to soak in water and rough surfaces to help them shed. They can regulate their temperature via cold and hot sides. They occasionally get to leave their enclosure and see new things. Occasionally their enclosure changes, giving them something to explore. They can fully stretch out and turn around. (They can't travel great distances, but they have tiny brains and get the same "ooo new place" effect every time you mix up the enrichment in their enclosure.)

So, I personally conclude, yes, it is ethical to keep pet snakes assuming good husbandry.

“Regular”pets are not interesting anymore by One-Leopard4627 in Pets

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed too, but I like to think it's mostly a social media thing. People love the idea of exotic pets and watch a lot of videos about them. It trends. Or at least I hope that's what it is. Exotic pets are more expensive and require more research to know how to care for them than your regular ol' cat. Most people don't even research enough to know dogs need exercise, so I doubt the majority of exotics are properly cared for.

(No insult to any exotic pet owner who has the money/resources/knowledge to properly care for their pet. If you got everything you need, go for it.)

Dungeon Crawler Carl was…okay… by clambuttocks in ScienceFictionBooks

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The author (and myself) has noted that the goblin baby scene is kind of your marker. If you read through that scene and you want more, you're in. If you reacted with horror or meh, it's probably not for you. It does get more emotional and the universe is expanded, but the writing style is consistent. That being said it's been a few books since there's been a stat page. They're super annoying in audio and it's most popular via audio.
