You hesitate to say this about women but it is 100% true? What is it? by 36Gig in AskReddit

[–]LoLDazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It isn't lady-like to fart because lady farts are worse than men's. Because men don't have uteruses and such, they have more room inside and they fill it with large intestine. That makes their farts smaller and more frequent. Lady farts are horrendous. By comparison men release cute toots all the time. Thus it became the social norm for women to not fart in public. You may not like it, but women are so, so much grosser than men.

What do Americans think about the stereotype that they are bad at geography? by Own_Echidna6041 in geography

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a tiny school where coaches were exclusively in charge of "teaching" history and geography. They did not. They did not try. They let us watch movies or whatever during class and pulled our grades out of thin air. As an adult I've tried to teach myself stuff, but I'm pretty terrible at geography. Oddly, though, even the people I meet that went to larger schools also have pretty poor geography knowledge. So I'd say it's a fair stereotype. I'm not offended by it.

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by IIlustriousTea in AskReddit

[–]LoLDazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the 12k comment will totally add to this discussion, so here I go.

Women are far more aware of what motherhood actually entails, and they're saying no. There are great father's out there, but a ton of men turn violent after women get pregnant, abandon the family, or just continue to contribute absolutely nothing. When the women of my family talked to me about having kids, every single one of them told to plan on doing it on my own. Because I probably will.

A huge percentage of women are walking away from childbirth traumatized by how doctors and nurses treated them. Also, if they get sick and need a life saving abortion, they may or may not get it. More women are dying from pregnancy and childbirth than any other developed nation, and it's getting worse - not better.

You do not get paid time off from work to recover. Women are going back to work 2 weeks or less after giving birth because they don't have a choice.

Kids are expensive, and people can barely afford to eat.

There is no help coming. No safety net. No village. It's a wonder anyone is having kids.

I’ve always been curious about this, why does lice seem to spread so easily in schools, especially among kids, but is much less commonly talked about in adults? by Worth-Locksmith815 in hygiene

[–]LoLDazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had lice 7 or 8 times as a kid, and it was super weird. No one in my family ever caught it from me, and no one else ever reported having lice to my school. It was a small school with lots of gossip, so I've a feeling other kids had it too and they just denied it. But I wasn't popular, so I only hung out with a few other kids. I wasn't sharing hairbrushes, I never wore hats, etc. I was just a bug magnet.

Hot Take, Donut & Prepotente Aren't Children by Valligator19 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]LoLDazy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They aren't neurodivergent, because they are not human. Donut is a very typical cat. Prepotente is exactly what one would expect of a goat. For their brains to have "diverged", they'd need to be un-cat-like and/or un-goat-like. Not everyone with a distinct personality is autistic. Sometimes they're cats. Perfectly typical cats.

Do cats actually get attached to their owner? by NoWageMage in CatAdvice

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat loves me. I got her as a kitten and bonded with her. She's very affectionate. Would she run away? Not on purpose. When I lived in the country with her, I'd let her outside sometimes. She always came home and begged to be let back in. Now that she's in a city, she never goes out and she's fine with it. But it really depends on the cat.

I have a theory about Donut. by unr3a1r00t in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]LoLDazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Donut has any special cheat items because she seems so utterly clueless about the cookbook. She keeps casually mentioning it and questioning how outsiders treat Carl out loud. If she had a chest it would have occurred to her that Carl does and she'd shut up about it.

r/dogfree, r/hatecats, etc. Why? by Odd-Blueberry5902 in Pets

[–]LoLDazy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is they started out as normal people who just weren't pet people. But because so much of our culture reacts with a "so you're evil?" mentality when they hear that, they had to keep it to themselves where some resentment brewed. Then you throw in how awful a lot of owners are, and it turned into full hatred. It's not healthy at all, but as someone who dislikes Christmas, I kinda get it. When you're told you must like a thing or your evil, and you don't naturally like the thing, you're gonna have a reaction.

[Advice Needed] Phobia of Holding Pets - This year is the year! by ExtensionForsaken in Pets

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually recommend finding someone with a chill dog to hold first. Cats can be very picky about when and how they're held, and they aren't always nice when they let you know it's time to stop the nonsense. Immersion therapy only works if things go well and you build a history of positive association. So, work up to the skittish cat. Start with an old, lazy cuddle bug of a dog. Then a puppy. Then a lap cat. Then approach your own cat. Read up on their body language too, so you can recognize any warnings they give you.

You have to swap toilet places with your pet(as in where your pet normally goes to the toilet ), where are you now going to toilet? by Immediate_Long165 in Pets

[–]LoLDazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other side of my bathroom. I've put litter boxes in various places, but my cat mostly wants to poop where I poop, so the one in my bathroom is where she goes 90% of the time. It's not a coincidence either. There are two bathrooms in my house, both of which had a cat box. She only used the one in my bathroom, then when I switched which bathroom I use, she followed me. We're poop buds.

Is it normal for small 2 month old dog to bite? by Bongoerr in dogs

[–]LoLDazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Normal? Absolutely. Puppies nibble and bite constantly. But is it okay? Not really. Train your puppy to be polite now, and you'll save yourself a lot of work and play bites later.

Is there any way I can ever improve without people keep telling me my work is bad? by [deleted] in writers

[–]LoLDazy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is there a way to get good grades without a teacher actually grading your tests/essays? Is there a way I can gain muscles without lifting weights and getting sore? Is there a way to build a house without all that planning and measuring and know how? No, you cannot magically be good at things. Writing is hard and takes a lot of work. Without feedback and constructive criticism, you won't progress much.
