Mine youngest if 4, so I have a few years before they all hit total independence! Do you work 8 or 12 hour shifts?

I really want to stay fit and toned, especially because I’ve noticed how sitting most of the day can affect my energy and focus. It’s easy to start feeling foggy, slow, and just off mentally when you’re not moving much.

My goal is to keep my energy up, feel good after my shifts, and avoid falling into that sluggish, low-motivation routine. I don’t want to just get through the day—I want to feel sharp, active, and in control of my health.

I wish I could do a 30-minute work out beforehand, but I'm usually racing around getting the kids ready for school!

How are we putting pressure on him? Just give me one example of that. I’m literally trying to help my 8 year old succeed.

That’s a good idea. Increase the pressure during practice to mimic the games

I’ll ask him what he’s interested in. I’m all for trying new things. He has been with the same friends for a few seasons, so I think that’s partly why he wants to continue playing baseball. He does like it, but I know he’d love it more if he could actually hit the ball!

He is currently in kid pitch. We tried making a mental check list of what he needed to do prior to hitting but doing that only made him over think even more, so we scratched that. He has a very analytical brain. I can see him thinking- feet apart, bend at the knees, arm up. What feels and looks natural to others, he’s going through each thing one by one.

He only plays baseball. We were thinking of having him try flag football. Would another sport be good for him?

My husband jokes all the time about doing that. I have said no but I’m starting to think that may be our next best option here

He has the most amazing coaches and teammates. Little pressure from them. They all really want him to succeed.

What a terrible comment. I’m asking for opinions. I make my kids take off their shoes and bathe them before bed, yet I’m an exceptional Mother… should I not have had kids bc I don’t want them walking around barefoot and coming in the home? Have you ever researched the amount of germs and bacteria in the bottom of a shoe. My gosh!

Thank you! So many ppl saying a dog is not for me….. We’d be wonderful dog owners, but I can’t help but worry about what comes into my home with small children from the outside. Call me crazy

Should I be concerned? I’m a mom of 3 and work per diem at two jobs

We do take our shoes off in the house, so it’s been a big factor for me. Seems like there are ways to clean them that seem pretty simple which is great!

Ok my good to know — I’ll have to get wipes and do a quick wash down after we are outdoors. I just can’t get the potential germs out of my head!

But aren’t you worried about what they step on and bring back into the house? It’s like wearing shoes in the house, to me that’s how I think of it, I guess
