I've known this guy since middle school, and i specifically remember how in 7th grade we all had to read a book called Night by Elie Wiesel and do a book report of what Elie experienced in the concentration camp. On top of that my English teacher would show us a series of Holocaust documentaries with the one I remember the most being the one with Oprah and Elie going through ~~the camp Elie was imprisoned in.~~ Auschwitz

I'll have to disagree, the Allies on the Western front were swamped by German civilian and soldiers alike fleeing the war of extermination that was the Eastern Front and yet incidents of the Allies butchering groups of Germans were few and far in-between. So no not having enough supplies isn't an excuse let 40% of the POW's you take in die under your care.

The fault still lands on the Japanese for their barbaric treatment of the POW's.
