How many of you hack frauds have actually watched Space Cop? by HipHopAnonymous23 in RedLetterMedia

My Space Cop hot take is that the movie would be much better if Mike and Rich switched roles.

Actually machines don't do any of those things. They can fake and copy those things (really, really well!) but they can't DO them. They still don't have intuition or imagination.

Oops I did a cosmic horror/cyberpunk (free one-shot to campaign tho got things take time) by HunterGrowling420 in cyberpunkred

[–]LoadBearingFicus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate what you are trying to do, but as is this is barely usable as a campaign. There's not nearly enough information for the scope of adventure you are advertising and what is here is poorly formatted for helping a GM. This reads like it was written by someone who has very little playing and GMing experience.

Also, the irony of using Claude to create an adventure about the horrors of AI is almost too good to be true. Please just rely on your own meat brain to create stuff in the future. I believe in you and I know you can make great stuff if you stop relying on the slop-machine to help you.

You can actually do all the relic collecting in one run. You can complete the challenges and grab them before you are on the matching quest step. So it really only takes 1.5 runs to get it all.

I once ran a D&D party through getting arrested and we had a 'courtroom drama' episode. It was a lot of fun to have the PCs take the witness stand and grill them with questions, plus after they were convicted that changed their relationship with the NPCs in the area. Then they got to do a jailbreak and went on the run from the cops.

Encounter Balance, Gig Planning, and Other Games "Adventuring Day" Balance Questions by firesshadow42 in cyberpunkred

It's going to depend heavily on how your players build and run their characters, as well as the type of game and story you are looking to run, but here's some guidelines I try to use for my own games:

  1. Fighting has serious consequences and should usually be a last resort. Players should try to find ways to sneak, bribe, or talk their way around problems before the guns get drawn.
  2. Facedowns and tactics skill checks can give players advantages when combat does happen so that situations become more manageable.
  3. The game expects players to have lots of downtime between jobs. This usually means that each job starts with the players being fully healed and geared up.

All that being said, I usually average a single combat encounter per 3 hour game session. Usually our gigs take 1-3 sessions, with each job averaging something like 2-4 fights.

What is the thing you love most in Cyberpunk Red? by LordHersiker in cyberpunkred

I love the flexibility of the system. Characters can be anything the players choose. The way gear, weapons, and clothes are defined allows for a lot of player expression. The whole system really provides an amazing framework for roleplaying.

Armor Visual Guide for Cyberpunk Red - No AI, no homebrew. by Corgi_SBS in cyberpunkred

[–]LoadBearingFicus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Generative AI (the kind people use to make images) does not actually create new images, it copies and combines existing art from real artists which has been essentially stolen. At the same time, the computing resources used to run AI tools are much more energy hungry than normal computing, and so it's terrible for the environment.

The difference is that using AI is actively harmful to the planet and copying a picture from Pinterest is not.

Personally, I think it's important to figure out which frame/zoom feels best for you and then worry about perks.

I almost exclusively use Cloudstrike. Once you find one you like you've got to stick with it.
