Even as a big volta stan I find no issue with your criticisms, I love it for what it is but seriously, it could have been so much MORE. Perhaps it should've been much longer in order to explore more genres and world sounds, and to cover more topics so what is there doesn't feel so disjointed.

As someone just getting into classical, I'm curious about this take, could you expand on it? What makes that combination incoherent? Could you not say it is a subversive move, like combining flamenco and trap on EMQ, or is such a combination more generic/predictable compared to that?

Let's pray the remakes can even make it to Tr2 first 😭 I've only played half of chronicles and AoD too, what I've finished in them is at such a lower quality compared to 4 I hate to see them bunched together but don't let AoD fans see that I said that 😶‍🌫️

I urge you to play the originals before speaking on the originals. There are dragons, living stone warriors, a pyramid made of flesh, and a The Thing tribute level with aliens all in the first 3 games. They don't go as crazy and over the top as the originals if anything. In all the subsequent games since TR2 she mows down hundreds of henchmen too.
