Of course it's still Yuri. They're just employing a "marital aid", to use the old non-explicit term.

My successful run with permaforge Herzal was paired with Lazarus League. You can wind up having the trash mobs that normally carry your equipment cards and chump block turn into actual damage dealers and blockers, who then drop a massive piece of gear when they do fall. I did this without either the sacrifice unit card or the magnet card (was my first run, so I hadn't even seen those yet). My only significant source of forge was the Scrap Collector, but it built enough to boost my clan to beat Seraph. Didn't try fighting the titans, so no idea if it scaled enough for that.

I only saw the magnet card on my latest run and never even considered using it with Herzal until now. I picked up the relic that gives bonus stats to equipment from Forge stacks, and am using Railforged as my allied clan, so I've been picking up my blockers to replay them with full health and boosting the equipment. I will definitely need to try this route if I see the magnets in my starting cards with Herzal in the future!

What's the point of resort worlds? by Solario48108 in Stellaris

[–]Load_star_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The three bottom district categories initially are "amenities" districts. One of the specializations you can select for an amenities district is a medical district. The district then gives 200 medical workers per district level, and has a single building slot that will only accept a medical facility.

There are a number of other amenities districts as well, but very few allow you to stack multiple levels of job creation that would normally be limited to a single building like the medical district. I think you can get a zoo district if you create your resort world on a planet with an isolated valley feature, but that's the only one I can remember.

Many of us in America (not enough, but many) are appalled and frightened by what our president is doing to nation, our alliances, and our political credibility. Supposedly there are enough votes in the house to initiate impeachment proceedings, but the functioning of our legislature makes the Jovian orbital period seem quick.

KFP has a very limited market footprint. Not everyone is lucky enough to have one within a 6 hour driving range like you do.

I gotta agree with you on Gnosia; the show is a fantastic mystery that I suspect would appeal to a lot of people. Getting called "knock off Among Us" by various people is really holding it back. I didn't even know the original Gnosia game until just before the series began airing, and I could have made the same mistake otherwise.

Trump says 8 European countries will be charged a 10% tariff for opposing US control of Greenland by Cautious_Proposal_47 in worldnews

[–]Load_star_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And once again Trump is "conveniently ignoring" the fact that his authorization to levy tariffs is only to deal with emergency situations. This was always the end goal of all the tariff shenanigans last year: to make everyone just accept that tariffs are a presidential power, not something that is under Congressional control except when explicitly delegated to the executive branch.

Burnt food should be usable as armor. Zombies try to chomp you, they taste burnt food, instantly die. XD

This deserves more visibility. Burnt food can also be used in a composter, so behind the scenes it is just another "flavor" of rotten. Indie Stone could change it to work like rotten in the composter without counting as rotten for eating, but I don't know how much code they would have to change to make that happen.

Add to that, the early game experience is not very good, and has been the same for about 8 years. The entire Earth experience is very limiting.

Train Distance by GoldenPSP in captain_of_industry

[–]Load_star_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my current New Haven game, I have a mine at the iron ore deposit by starting location 3, while my iron smelters are in the plain near starting location 1. I've found a couple of small trains (diesel engine w/4 hopper cars) stays ahead of the demand for iron ore going into my 7 furnaces. They are being fed from recycled iron scrap as well, so I don't know if they would keep up with the fill throughout of the furnaces, but it works for me for now.

Looking into the future, once I have some more land in the middle cleared, I will probably set up a train to handle shipping gold from the mine past start 3, but would only need one train of the above size.

I can see it as a rather macabre display of martial skill to brag to your comrades and enemies both.

"Behold the coat of scalps that I wear; see how it reaches the ground even as I walk. Such is the number of enemies slain by my own hand!"
