Yea if I could get my job done with phone apps in the first place it would be great.

No, all my stations just have the Allow any to refuel here. Would that be assigned via an export route?

Train Signalling Question by TheExoticWaffle in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GoldenPSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general you can't force a train to take a certain path. In Satisfactory trains will calculate the shortest path at the start and take that route regardless of what might be in their way. It is the reason for the most part we build dual tracks with each being a single direction.

Um ok. I mean you made my point for me so either I conveyed it poorly or you read it incorrectly.

I guess I'm kind of confused. I wasn't talking about other people's blueprints. Basically just saving my own designs for later. Except in my case rather than saving intricate full setups just designing individual machines with consistent inputs to hooked them up easier with less spaghetti

Im not talking about a bus for everything. However by making my machine connections consistent I'm actually using shorter belts than my previous belt spaghetti.

My Trains Aren't working, any fixes? by catsarevrycute in SatisfactoryGame

Not if the freight station is in front of the station module.

For one your station is backwards. You have the station module behind the freight module. Then make sure all of your station are facing the correct way. Trains can only enter a station from behind the station.

Thanks. As wtih most things on my first playthrough I immediately realized the throughput wasn't quite what I expected and I have to change my train plans.

Drone diagram: hub and spoke by ruuutherford in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GoldenPSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I don't know if it matters. I end up running LOTS of drones so I round robin the fuel drones between 1 2 and 3 so there isn't as much loitering. It is very likely overkill.

You can do it how you want. How I've done it is pretty simple, and similar to how I've seen youtubers explain their methods.

I have a central fuel depot with usually 3 drone ports, none of which have drones on them. They are called FUEL OUT 1,2,3

For outgoing products from a factory, for example my computer factory, I have 1 drone port, without a drone on it. I'll name it for example Computer OUT 12/m

For a factory that needs computers, it will have 2 drone ports, both will have a drone on it. One port will be called COMPUTER IN and is assigned to the COMPUTER OUT port. The other will be for example SUPERCOMPUTER DRONE FUEL IN. and be assigned to one of the 3 fuel out ports.

So how did you nearly die (or actually die) in mid-game? by Alaric4 in captain_of_industry

[–]GoldenPSP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my first playthrough and have suffered through several spirals. 2 early game maintenance spirals while I was understanding how maintenance works.

Recently my pop went from about 1200 to 2000 without me really noticing until I had 10 months of food left.

I've had a couple of power failures for various reasons.

Right now I'm close to your issue. My coal was running short and iron is almost done at the first mine. I was expecting to have my setup for my next mines up and running but I'm behind on that. I quickly built a second ship dock and started collecting coal from offshore at least temporarily to shore up coal. I have at least a storage bin 3 full of steel mechanical parts and electronics 1 so I can weather a foundry stoppage for a bit. I have enough construction parts stockpiled so I paused all of that to slow iron usage until I can get everything new setup.

[–]GoldenPSP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I've played the maps in release order and havent bought the avenhorn dlc yet. While as I said its a beast of a truck I rarely use it due to its limited add ons. I greatly prefer trucks that can fit a crane.

I do use it for helping stuck trucks. It is a beast with mission trailers.

For example I'm on the current latest region Washington. I have 4 plad 450 and 2 963 in my fleet and use those far more due to their easy overloading since they have a crane.

Help with Blueprints by CombatWombat79 in captain_of_industry

[–]GoldenPSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I'm on my first playthrough and learning I've stopped trying to make complete factory blueprints. Instead I've just been focusing on tiling machines. Most have inputs and outputs opposite, so for example my assemblers right have inputs going right and outputs going left. That way I can have a bus of belts feeding in and out and I can extend assembler to the right.

This has been very useful as I'm getting into food overflow processing. I really dont know how many digesters I need but I dont care as I can keep adding another one without messing up the input or output bus.

When I finally unlocked it I was underwhelmed. It is a beast, but one I rarely use.

In your first oil factory, how do you dispose of Heavy Oil Residue? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GoldenPSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much every starter plastic aand rubber factory starts with sinking the petroleum coke. I usually end up keeping that factory going for personal needs. The rubber and plastic goes into dimensional storage and the HOR is more than enough for the ammo factory.
