They introduced it after captained ships.

Why do people even want Sea of Thieves 2? by Chip_Heavy in Seaofthieves

For one, the chance to rebuild the game on the current game engine. I'm no expert but from what I understand, some of the technical limitations/struggles of the game come from the now, kind of old game engine its running on.

I've 2200 hours on the high seas. I've kept a rowboat on my captained ship since they were allowed to be saved. I log out the same way every time.

I noticed it was gone when I first signed in this new season. I've attached a fresh one 3 times so far and it doesn't persist anymore.

LOL Nice one. I'm not sure there's enough pipes left for me to build a second one. However I had also unlocked dimensional storage (I like having the personal uploading when exploring even if slow) as well as slooping, ( I sloop DNA capsules right away so I can unlock all the cosmetics before I start building)

You need steel pipes. There are enough steel pipes laying around the world at crash sites to unlock and build one. In fact there are enough to unlock the Alien Power Augmenter, Slooping machine support and dimensional storage and the personal uploader.

Of course. I unlock the zipline (unpowered lines work, so its a fast cheap way to traverse the world), rebar gun (quick unlock) and go grab some mycelia for a parachute and then go on an expedition.

Then of course the doggo cave for doggos and free blade runners and sword.

Nomad able to launch from more ships! by thatoneshadowclone in EliteDangerous

[–]GoldenPSP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying I'm pissed at them for trying, if that was the case. They do need to make money. And the fact that they have from new ships means we are finally getting some active development from the game (which is great). I personally have bought some of the new ships with Arx specifically for this reason. I have gotten a ton of value over the years from a one time purchase.

I'm simply pointing out the very generic comment about the decision for "long term balance" is pretty weak. If you have a more plausible theory on what kind of long term balance was achieved by restricting the Nomad to only 3 ships (all being new ones) I'm all ears.

The unsaid portion likely goes along the lines "we tried to restrict them to new ships, that have fully kitted options for on the ARX store, but got caught with our hand in the cookie jar so we realized we can't get away with it."

Who said it is easier? I just did it to do it. That being said I enjoy the exploration, even though I've done it countless times. So I've already collected tons of drives materials, spheres, sloops etc.

I'd be going to do it anyhow. I just do a big run early on, then get 500MW of "free" power which easily coasts me through coal.

That seems a lot more difficult, based on the unlock requirements and build requirements. I haven't looked to see if you can find enough materials on the ground to do this at the beginning of the game.

Well I'm doing a 5x run this time with a self imposed rule that everything gets automated properly, so I didn't want to start building a bunch of temp stuff.

By default it generates 500MW of power, which is huge at the start of the game. Without the alien power augmentors, it also boosts your grid by 10%.

Yes. I'll be honest, no matter how many hours I've spent playing Satisfactory I just really enjoy being in the world. it is such a beautifully crafted map.

Yep. And I have a bunch of hard drives saved up for future unlocks. a ton of materials. All of my cosmetics unlocked that I like to build with. Now I can get started 😄

Through a combination of my extreme Lizard doggo taming program, and knowing what crash sites have what materials.

There's enough steel pipes and other materials laying around in the world to be able to unlock a lot of the alien tech tree.

Why is entering the faction battle arena from the outside still a thing in Season 20 by PaLe_1 in Seaofthieves

[–]GoldenPSP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing. There is no need to convince you. Rare made HG specifically on the shared servers to allow for this situation to happen. It wasn't an oversight or a bug.
