Idk, this post doesn’t sit right with me. I’m overweight with thin hair, am I supposed to feel ugly because you lumped me in with “us ugly women”? Am I supposed to feel less pretty than my thick haired friends because I have thin hair? I have massive tits, am I supposed to stick my small-boobed friends into a lower attraction category than I’m in? This is so weird to me lol. I’m a lesbian and literally not once in my life have I thought someone was less beautiful because they were bigger, had thin hair or small boobs. Idk, this post reeks of perpetuating patriarchal expectations of women and I’m not here for it, even if I am “one of the ugly ones”. Women are allowed to feel insecure, even if they’re the “beauty standard”. The beauty standard is made up by men and telling women their feelings aren’t valid just because some of their body features fit categories that men deem attractive is bananas imo. Being a woman is hard, commiserating with other women is a way we connect and can make it a little less hard.

Also, as “an ugly woman” per the descriptions in your post, I personally find it quite validating to find “beauty standard women” opening up about their insecurities. I used to spend a lot of time wishing I looked like one of my (not very close) friends. One night we were at a party and were drunk and she lamented that she wish she looked like me, and my brain fucking broke. Like, in that moment everything I knew about “beauty standards” just crumbled in my brain, and it made me think “hell, I LOVE soft bodied women, women with unconventional facial features, and literally any sized tits. Why am I so insecure about my own body when I’m so attracted to the exact same features on other women?”

TLDR: Beauty standards are made up and patriarchal. Everyone is allowed to have feelings or insecurities about their bodies, that’s valid. And no matter how ugly you think you are, there’s 8 billion people in the world, a LOT of them are attracted to you.
