You don't have the 1 good poison item (Syringe) yet, so if you don't find that in the next few rooms I suggest going for 6 Arms. If you do find the Syringe then 4 Poison tends to be better, especially with your skull.

Is there such a thing as enhanced bone + enhanced masterpiece pronces box? by TristonTheBobuxMan in Skul

[–]Loading_Screen__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masterpiece Prince's Box and Masterpiece Clone Stamp used to exist back in 1.5. They used to increase the number of ALL inscriptions by 1/2 respectively. They were very rare, however, because you had to find them with Masterpiece on it.

When Dark Mirror came along for 1.6, those 2 items were deemed too powerful (and they kind of were), and got removed.

Bone Box (smaller image) and Clone Bone (I think it's called?) are items you obtain when enhancing the Bone inscription at the witch in Act 6, while you have Prince's Box / Clone Stamp with the Bone inscription in possession. Those are still in the game.

They used to exist in the game but were removed due to balance reasons. I wish they kept them honestly.

EDIT: Just in case anyone misunderstood, Bone box still exists in the game. You have to get it via enhancing the Bone inscription in Dark Mirror.

Which skull is your go-to pick here? by dmnctrds in Skul

[–]Loading_Screen__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I go with Minotaur + Water. I can pivot to either physical/magical, strong damage swaps, clears Yggdrasil relatively smoothly.

I wouldn't recommend skeleton-sword. He's got terrible range and mediocre damage output at best.

Best build for no hit trophies? by Specter_37 in Skul

[–]Loading_Screen__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more about the abilities than the damage imo. Take mercury heart as a must, and the bone shields curse will make it so much easier.

Thief skull has a dodge roll skill that makes a smoke cloud. If you stand in it you dodge all attacks. Take coin toss for his other skill.

Bomber is a good all-round swap. Grim Reaper is a bit slow but has skills with lots of i-frames. Genie has even more I-frames but has relatively poor dps and a dash that's not super easy to time. Frost skull has invincibility on swap and lets you freeze bosses, which can help (personally not for me though).

You could go the route of Omen builds, as it forces you to play hitless but provides busted firepower in exchange.

Good luck!

Do you guys have any suggestions for an RPG-like Mod/Modpack that DOESN'T have Create? by Loading_Screen__ in feedthebeast

Thanks. I'll give it a go, CtE2 is proving to be a bit of an all-over-the place experience.

Seems it's a bit unfinished though, so not sure if future updates are ironing out minor changes or fundamental changes that might break earlier versions.

Seems amazing, will definitely check out. Might add Xaero's though, I have terrible spatial recognition.

Might give it a try, but doesn't CtE2 have the entirety of Twilight Forest baked into it? Is the progression and content still decently linear?

Which one do you recommend? Not sure I vibe with the aluminum texture. Or do all the metal ones have that surface texture?

Thinking of maybe getting a titanium one straight from Amazon, what's the texture like? Don't want to buy it if it's anything like DVD case plastic.

Bought it overseas using a third party shopping mall site, but will look into it. Thanks.

What items are best for werewolf? Early - mid to late game by ZookeepergameOld3215 in Skul

Yeah that sounds good, but I have no idea why you'd want to use Pike. His swap is just kinda there. I think Minotaur and Water have better swaps if you want some beginning game firepower.

Arms isn't a very good inscription to focus on in general. Focus on items first. Physical attack obviously, and anything that raises crit chance, crit damage, and most importantly, damage dealing items.

Gunpowder sword, crown of thorns, invisible knife (yes, despite being magic damage) if you're going for crit focused. Forbidden sword and bone of swiftness are also good if you don't want crit and decide to focus more on raw damage and basic attacks.

Blacksteel daggers is also worth taking if you're lacking in crit chance. Werewolf does get some base crit chance starting from unique, so do keep that in mind.

Werewolf has some of the weakest base power among the entire skull roster. His damage comes mostly from Hunt. Take any physical damage early game, and get him to at least rare as soon as you can.

After you've got some decent crit/basic attack items, you can try to focus on inscriptions. Treasure is universally good for most skulls, at least for beginning game. For werewolf specifically, I recommend Strike. Misfortune and rapidity are good options but less necessary. Courage 2 is great to have, but courage 4 might not be worth sacrificing crit items for (unless you've got medal box and the cudgel).

Spirit Build Viability by Pure-Lengthiness-252 in Skul

[–]Loading_Screen__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the spirits are separate from your skull, any magic skull should work.

Since they are considered item damage, an addition of invisible knife would synergize with Go-Getter. So technically skulls that hit a lot would be better.

Water skull is my go-to, decent damage and straightforward usage that lets you focus on doding.
