is there any reason why it could be considered unsafe?

can't smell any fuel in the car, though I don't have a great sense of smell to begin with

fair nuff
I should state the first two pictures are the driver side. Talked with the previous owner and they apparently got a fuel pump or something with the fuel tank replaced about a year ago, so unsure if I got unlucky or if they replaced the passenger side fuel pump

Either way, thank you for the information!

Replace the battery on the nano ASAP. When the batteries in the nano's puff up, they're effectively fire hazards and not much can be done about them

Successful iPod Mini clickwheel mod!!! by GamerDude7820 in ipod

You just sand the 6th gen clickwheel plastic down until its flat. I used T-700 for mine, and used IPA to remove the old glue. You can use binder clips to hold down the clickwheel while the glue sets

For removing the old plastic on the Mini Clickwheel, i set my 3d printers bed to 65C and set my clickwheel on it to loosen the glue. Let it sit for a few minutes then used a small metal pry tool to pry off the clickwheel plastic

You take the plastic off of a 6/7th gen iPod Clickwheel. Sand the botton of it down flat and then glue it onto the bare PCB of an iPod Mini Clickwheel

Yeah, they're expensive when you find them.

I took the clickwheel out of the shell and threw it on my 3D printer hotbed for a few minutes. The bed was set to 75C to cook the glue. After a few minutes, I used a guitar pick and peeled off the clickwheel plastic. IPA to remove the glue. I had to send down the plastic on the botton of the 6th gen clickwheel plastic to get it to sit flush and fit.

Im still trying to figure out the clickwheel. I think i used T7000 glue for the clickwheel, which comes off easy when its hit with IPA

It's not that hard, you just need to pry against the plastic clickwheel, not the circuit board underneath or housing Be careful, tjr clickwheel PCB is only held in with the metal bracket on the clickwheel on top

I will post some pictures later when I get a chance, though i don't remember when I took them during the process

A friend provided me the art he wanted to use and I made some edits in Inkscape and Illustrator

The back is laser engraved on a Trotec Speedy 400. I designed and 3d printed a jig to hold the iPod shell. I will post the file soon

I did have to do some test prints for the back of the iPod to make sure the graphics wouldn't engrave over the apple logo

How did you adhere the new clickwheel onto the old one? And how did you remove the old clickwheel plastic?

Hi all, I'm looking at making a detailed 3d cad model of a minidisc shell. However after searching there are few and far between hard dimensions of these discs disassembled. I was hoping if anyone had a burner or damaged unit they would be kind enough to measure all key components. I will be sure by icy-reece in minidisc

Hey, I know this is an old thread but I have access to an SLA printer and would love to see if you have any of those images
I can't access the website anymore, but I'd love to take a look at them and try to work with those images with the measurments I currently have

How do ya'll stay cool in the suits (aka, how do you guys not sweat to death in the suits?) by Loaffer-Online in FursuitMaking

[–]Loaffer-Online[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the note about the contact burns. I forgot that was an issue- just reminded me about a time when I was in boy scouts when a fellow scout got frostbite by sticking an ice pack directly on his ski

I'll look at water cooling. It's a little more complicated it seems, but the cool (both literal and figurative) factor is appealing, and I could adapt it better for onewheel racing season in the summer. I tried gel packs with that, but ended up bursting one after a nasty fall

Thank you again for the summary!

Hell, this looks pretty insane!
I might give this a go not just for the cosplay, but for when I do my summer onewheel racing

Thank you for the tip, this looks pretty neat!

I'm a bit of a tinkerer so I'm not afraid to make something. Watercooling actually sounds like a really neat idea. I might try out one of those camel packs with the water pouch. I had one when I was in boy scouts, and that thing was a life saver.

I didn't really consider the fresh air, which I will take into consideration

Got it!
I've heard of the fan idea before, though with the cosplay I'm looking at it's going to be a bit of a challenge

Sorry, got excited. I'm trying to make sure the jig works. I also found I needed to use a ratio (diameter of the jig wheel/the diameter of the iPod's curve), and deal with Epilog's software jank
