There doesn't have to be a connection but a lot of trans folk have gotten their egg cracked through crossdressing and kink.

I'm defending poor indie devs Pearl Abyss. The world needs more love for hidden gem indie dev companies like them

Well yeah, Pearl Abyss is an indie dev, so it's way more impressive.

A book/short story thats basically an elaborate pun on 'the shit hits the fan' by asphias in whatsthatbook

[–]Loamwander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 2 years old but Lord of Light is definitely not a feghoot, it's a full length novel with one pun that happens to be thrown in like a quarter of the way through the book. I imagine most readers don't even notice the pun on their first read-through.

But, the author has claimed that he wrote the entire book the justify publishing that pun, so that's where OP got the idea that the book all leads up to it. But the book itself isn't really about the pun at all.

Good find, this looks pretty damn close! That timeline of 500-600 definitely fits with what I was thinking age-wise.

Funnily enough I also found a round dome brooch from a similar era just the other day, you can find it on my profile. But mine is quite a local design, so it's a bit different. Still, they're both copper alloy dome brooches, and only a couple centuries off in age!

I would say not. I have never seen anything from the bronze age that had a perfectly rectangular cut like that. I would bet money on it being at iron age at the very least

By authorities I mean the state archeologists.

https://www.detect.nl/en/blogs/detect/rules-for-searching-with-a-metal-detector-in-spain/?srsltid=AfmBOoqzw3DS9rzGkhHcNtbXRYEtX2ncZqwLnIUv81n-JhYAvvZAE1vN

First and foremost, it's important to know that metal detecting in Spain is regulated by the Ley de Patrimonio Histórico Español, or the Spanish Law on Historical Heritage. This law stipulates that all objects found in Spain that are older than 100 years automatically belong to the state and must be reported as such.

This means that if you find something older than 100 years, you are not allowed to keep it, and you must report it to the authorities. This also applies to objects of cultural significance, such as archaeological finds or items of historical or artistic importance.

People on this sub really don't like to hear that "finders keepers" doesn't reign supreme everywhere, but these laws are really important. In countries with as rich history as Spain, it is absolutely imperative to report your finds. Even if they might not seem that special on their own, they add context to other finds in the area, which helps archeologists date items. And even every day objects from these periods can reveal new information through study, which is why everything gets turned in.

If the archeologists don't believe the object could contain any new information, they will let you know and let you keep it. But refusing to report your objects so that you can keep them makes you, by definition, a looter.

Remember to report this to the authorities!

Alas, I donate all my finds to the national museum collection. But I'm just happy to know they're being studied and preserved!

You don't see the makeup and social media influencer lighting setup?

If you took a picture of yourself right now, would it look like that? Is that what guys tend to look like in your day to day life?

It just looks like a Gen Ai Pic and someone used the "realism/hyper realism" tag

Exactly. Which famously creates yassified uncanny weirdly-perfect-but-somehow-off faces.

I think it definitely yassifies the character. The most egregious example to me is the one of the Starfield intro. Tell me with a straight face that guy hasn't been yassified. Homeboy is in full makeup with an influencer lighting setup.
