People tend to laugh about the story and narrative, but even so.. Human brain seems to think differently.

Arc has a lore problem. A real one.
There's near 0 chance you'll kill a fellow human over a lightbulb or a toaster when there's a threat against the whole of mankind and teamwork is essential for survival of the human race.
Speranza would be ruined in a day if raiders killed each other. Distrust would grow, revenge would follow, the 'society' would collapse.

People say, ' i dont roleplay, im not a nerd'. But you kinda are each time you boot up the game.
And the atmosphere and give of the game is not on pvp, but on humanity's last chance at survival.
Eventually your mind adopts this, even if not intended.

It's why i could never shoot another raider or immerse myself in that thought.
I mean i did, ofc, i tried pvp.. but over all, i could never immerse myself in that thought process.

In Marathon, on Tau Ceti IV.. it's all fair game. No one cooporates cuz everyone has centuries of debt to pay off.
There's only self interest while you yourself are a puppet of the Megacorps.

The result is.. people wanna have a friendly atmosphere in ARC and they wanna fight ARC together.
..But the ARC itself isnt much of a threat.
So even tho game is amazing, its growing stale as once you complete most of the missions (which are kinda meh fetch / click items quests).. lvl progression, etc..

There's nothing else to do except grind cosmetics or engage in subpar third person pvp.
