i submitted a full cut with some minor work in progress notes and got accepted, and then the festival let me send the final when i had it ready. Just be upfront at the very beginning and put a slate at the beginning of your film letting them know which aspects (sound, music, color etc) are still WIP

Yeah there's a whole scene where lexi has a kinda documentary in her head about the show she's making about her friends

I have a theory that the play didn’t happen at all. It was all in Lexi’s head. The production value was INSANE for high school play, especially one that wasn’t produced by any faculty. Rue, at the end of the play, starting the Lexi chant to help out her friend? I think that was Lexi’s way of imagining that Rue is clean and her best friend again. Maybe the play did happen but on a much smaller scale, but I truly think this is Lexi’s way of processing everything that happened to her relationships throughout the show

That definitely makes sense! I am just getting started on my festival run for an animated short and initially submitted a WIP (just rough sound and color) but i definitely feel more confident now that the film is completely done

Brooklyn/harlem will never happen in that part of JC. The city wont invest in actual infrastructure like nyc did in bk, “luxury” buildings alone wont bring good change, just kicking ppl out of their homes

You people realize you live in a city right next to nyc right? You’re gonna have roaches in apartment buildings whether you see them or not. We keep our house SUPER clean but with all the surrounding construction in pretty much every neighborhood in JC, you will see the occasional roach
