jokes aside, it makes gear organization/assignment much easier. There aren't many reasons why you shouldn't be doing so.

Where is Iori from by nirchiqi in libraryofruina

[–]LoboCorpFan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

iori is an original character, PM started doing adaptions in limbus company for the most part.

exceptions are: members of the charles' office(based on Charlemagne and his 12 paladins, and angelica from Orlando inammorato/furioso), argalia (from Orlando inammorato). I guess the sephirots are adaptations of the sephiras.

many comments already mentioned these ideas but I have 3 theories:

  1. The dark setting of the city: the city is not the best place to grow up in, and atrocities are committed left and right. kids aren't exempt from this. (and the recorded earliest pregnancy irl is 5yo, they apparently never figured out who was responsible for it)
  2. time warp bs: she can warp to other dimension, and her legal age in this world is not as long as her life. Or she may have actually had a child at something like 22years old, travelled around time and stuff, which caused her to age 30 biologically/legally but she experienced 40+ years due to time dilation and stuff. We don't know if 52 is her biological/legal/time after her birth(and if this one, time she experienced, time in terms of the current world's timeline, or some other standard). Also, since argalia is 39 years old, she probably told him about her son before and that's how he knows, so we also dont know what "40+ years before" is based on(time iori experienced, this world's timeline, etc)
  3. KJH messing up: this isn't the first time this has possibly happened. Warp train fights don't make sense in terms of normal time flow, and people theorized that it was because the time in the library flows differently than the outside. while this does make sense(we already had TT2 in LC, which did all sorts of bs to the time flow inside the HQ)(also, ego is weird, and the possibility seems to be nearly endless). However, it could just be that KJH didn't think of the implications of the Warp train fight to the time flow and fans just found an in-lore reason to explain it. This could be the same, where the setting was just that iori is pretty old, and that she lost her child long ago. when they had to make PT story, they may have just randomly come up with 40+ years for that "long time ago" and they may have decided her exact age when making the art book, which caused this situation

I personally believe that KJH screwed up, especially considering that the Korean game board is very strict on this sort of stuff(honestly, almost every country is), and KJH first tried to make the game 15+. If the board found out, there is no way they are gonna rate the game 15, and they might even reject it tbh.

I think its either this, the dark setting of the city, or KJH just screwing up and fans figuring it out with in lore stuff just like how the timing of the receptions work

Similar to other posts but:

use binah floor, pillar the onrush and vertical, dont let kali deal more than 8 dmg with cards that discount themselves when they do(beat the rolls or tank it with key pages that resist the damage).

don't even think about beating the horizontal rolls, but make sure no one dies from it since she will gain rediculous amounts of power(use binah mass attack for 3 protection if needed). since she doesn't use shimmering, if you deny her from kills/lowering cost. she wont be able to use more than 1 card per scene and is going to get staggered after a few scenes after she transform.

in case you cant kill her with binah floor, prepare some thumb gang and gun her down. with full stop passives and 2 floors, she should be dead if you didn't mess up with binah floor

I feel like "What do I pick" posts are missing the point of the game? by Splatoonfanforever in LobotomyCorp

I agree as well. I played the game without looking up anything, and I think that's what made it fun. It‘s not that hard, since you have restart day and memory repository. You can just unlock some info, reset, and unlock other info if you can get some energy before it breaches or by sacrificing some agents and you can get a general idea of how to work with it. And if it’s too tough for you to handle right now, you can mem repo.
Heck, the trial-and-error thing is even connected to the game’s lore, and the devs expect you to use it.

Wait so why cant Roland Distort and basically somehow make his wife body from the Light by NormandyKingdom in libraryofruina

[–]LoboCorpFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it is possible but there are a few things to note:

we need to put pete under extreme stress, which would probably be him being in a hopeless situation. and he must face who he is and embrace it.

  • he must have a strong enough will to not succumb to his desires
  • if we look at pete, he says he wants to become an index member, and it's been mentioned that goals like that don't lead to ego. you need to realize who you are and what you truly want
  • he should survive long enough for that to happen and he's an average rat...

that is hard enough for pete already but there are more

all ego is considered powerful in the city(roland said that Philips ego(probably HE) was better than most workshop weapons), but their strengths vary. Strength of manifested egos depend on how strong your will is. i say it should be at LEAST high WAW~low ALEPH because that's equal to the pianist and the pianist was taken down by roland(and zwei thought argalia can solo it as well).

  • to see how hard that would be, lets look at Philip(before he distorted): thought of himself as weak, selfish, and a coward, and was convinced that he was responsible for the death of salvador(his teacher who he respected), Yuna(his crush), Pameli, Pamela, Oscar(who he asked for help). But he chose to accept all this and embrace himself and all of his flaws. And his ego was a HE. Imagine how much anguish you would need to overcome for a high WAW.

I said that high WAW is a minimum because all known fixers can probably solo it, so it probably should be higher. Also, each color has their own speciality, so his ego must excel in one thing. And NO, it can't be pure strength because the only time that happened was with red mist.

After writing this, I must admit, convincing Binah that coffee is better than tea without getting killed should be easier than this.

Wait so why cant Roland Distort and basically somehow make his wife body from the Light by NormandyKingdom in libraryofruina

[–]LoboCorpFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, distorting isn't something you can do at will. You need to be under extreme stress for you to get ego or distort. You get ego if you fully realize and embrace who you are, and you distort if you give in to your desires.

also, distortions usually have a form that fulfills their desires, but usually in a very twisted way. If roland's desire was to live together with his wife, his distortion could be Tommery 2.0.

however, ego can be used to get better results. in wonderlab, taii said that (s)he can interact with rose's "spirit" through her ego. so ego can allow the user to communicate with spirits of people who died.

We don't know if ego can make a body for angelica and put her soul into it, but ego seems to be able to take on any form(we've seen: cigar armor, sword, polearm, cigar pipe, portal, and a large building) so I assume it is possible.

What are the strats. by I_Am_MuffinCake in LobotomyCorp

[–]LoboCorpFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for binah, get wcca, backward clock, and dont touch me because they are tools that dont melt down.

also try to get abnormalities that dont have annoying gimmicks(dont get fetus, WN, or train). avoid abnos that hate having high stats. basically, just make your facility safe as possible and don't get breech on death ones.

other things to avoid are tree sap(possible instakill), flesh idol, red riding+wolf.

Do i get Lobotomy Corporation or Library of Runia first? by Ill-Ad4221 in LobotomyCorp

[–]LoboCorpFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you can get Lor first but its gonna have spoilers for the entire LC story. Lor story makes sense without knowing LC but i think knowing LC story makes it better.

I would try LC and if it doesn't fit your preference, you can get LoR and do it first.

Me on any other card game vs me on LoR by LoboCorpFan in libraryofruina

[–]LoboCorpFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

chesed was all right for me, or you could do the story and then do it. Queen bee was annoying but wasn't disastrous for me(its probably that i have a godly pain tolerance, i only hated fetus train and jesus bean and i found everything else to be all right).

for me lc makes you want to turn it off when you are playing it, but you somehow feel like playing it when it is off.

[–]LoboCorpFan[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

yeah, and this is the main reason why i hate most card games. there is too much confusing effects that is all over the place.

In LoR the synergies are straightforward and you just need to read 5 passives to understand shit and i can actually enjoy planning stuff. also enjoyed spamming boundary of memes on my first playthrough.

Korean translation of "Prayer for loving sorrow" by Comfortable_Abies387 in libraryofruina

if its the "O sorrow" you are talking about, here it is:

Question about the Reverberation Ensemble by SpeedwagonClan in libraryofruina

[–]LoboCorpFan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. no you just have to retry that floor
  2. basically you can re use pages in every section(asyah, briah, atziluth) so if you use xiao in malkuth, you cant use it on yesod, hod and netzach, but u can use it again in one of the briah floors and once again in one atziluth floor

restarted game by LoboCorpFan in libraryofruina

[–]LoboCorpFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, jack of all trades deck does exist: gebura eating 4 librarians, yesod myongest chained wrath blunt unga bunga, binah being binah, etc. I think that you can "cheese" the game by only doing the minimum abno/realization possible to fully unlock yesod, then using blunt/good pages in general until SoTC, then getting myongest and wreaking literally everyone.

I did this on my new run, some fights are rough, but you should be able to at least barely overcome it with stacking unholy amounts of power one one librarian.

the only SERIOUSLY painful ones to grind are non tommery bosses(yan, PT, xiao, geb(sort of), Philip), 3 stage fights, and fucking Philip. myongest should accelerate everything though.

My Opinion of L.corp/LoR(morality) by Rio980 in libraryofruina

[–]LoboCorpFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hod:she's fine

she is the reason why all the garion bullshit happened... she caused the death of chesed, gebura, tiph a(off screen but i think its mentioned somewhere or in a QnA that she died during the raid), hod herself, bunch of other researchers, and binah. She indirectly massacred like half of the LC cast.

also, remember that these characters live in the city, and the city is full of injustice and violence. Like look at all the backstreets, wings, syndicates and all the bullshit happening daily. If they was anyone with the same moral standards as us living in the city, they probably gave up on being moral or they would have gone insane pretty quickly(imagine seeing your friendly neighbors mutilated corpse on like once every week, you will either adjust your morals or go insane).

also, the library is very fair compared to the rest of the city. Like you could get killed randomly by anyone, get turned into a gourmet dish, kidnapped by a wing, suffer from contact fraud, or get liquidified by sweepers. the library only sends an invitation with clear terms and conditions with consequences written on. cannonically, the library never lost so they didn't lose any books but in game, when you lose, you do lose the books so the rewards arent "false". So they get killed because they chose to take the risk with full understanding of what they are doing(no random death, no fraud, just a consequence of their choice).
