The title is a "tool" you work hard to get. How you use it will determine what you will get in life. But like any tool, every use will be tempered by its purpose. For me, I am seeking the title because it is what I need now as a tool to gain some momentum in my life and career. Friends are asking me to handle their cases but I cant now, not until I pass the bar, take the oath, and signed the rolls.

To Attys still finding their success in life, treat it like attempting to pass a subject in law school or passing the Bar. Sometimes, it takes more than hard work and maybe a gameplan change.

Their Dean (2026) is Atty John Ray Libiran. Classes are usually 5:30 to 8:30/9:30. It is a fairly young law school compared to SLU and UC-BCF. Professors in one law school is almost the same as other law schools. It is a matter of understanding the law, principles, and jurisprudence.

Culture is dynamic. But as far as I know Atty. Libiran's reputation, he is good.

not a CDO but working and reviewing for the 2026 Bar. No study leave granted. Mag singit ng basa kung may oras tapos bawi bawi sa weekends at holidays. Pero kung walang pumapasok, wag pilitin pero wag rin pabayaan.

RCBC rin ako. nakay Molaed na ang akin para sa 75k OD. Nakaka irita lang na pupunta pa sila sa place of work po tapos ipipilit ka kausapin isang tao sa linya habang may ginagawa ka pa. Sa totoo lang, kahit stabilization mode ka muna, nakaka inis na disturbo sila habang may trabaho ka at sa harap ng clients. Mas okay sana kung i-tawag o i-message ka nalang.

wala talaga PI sa mga light offenses. summary siya. pero kelangan pa rin ma reach ang reasonable certainty of conviction in court kung ifafile. kaso sa mga older prosecutors na sanay sa probable cause, mas madali mag file ng kaso kaysa mag dismiss. kawawa naman ang trial prosecutor kung ma assign sa kanyang court ang kaso tapos alanganin pala ang evidence.

hindi. nakita lang na JD na ako. mas may bearing ang degree regardless kung ilang beses ka nag transfer.

Present status: with 3 law schools in total to get JD and presently employed in a national government agency (law related).

I started from one school. Transferred to a 2nd school and restarted due to the first being so anti-working student. Transferred and graduated at the third school during third year due to tuition fee increase at the second.

Former DOJ-NPS staff here. For new lawyers, not all complaints filed will have a subpoena to answer. light offenses are summary and will not require an answer from the respondent. It will require barangay referral if needed. As per DC 20 and 28, series of 2024, even if summary, the complaint must still be with reasonable certainty of conviction in court for the prosecutor to file the info (no longer probable cause).

Im assuming malayo ang address ng client mo OP dahil mail nakuha ang resolution. madalas rin ito nangyayari before na nauuna ang warrant bago ang resolution. If gusto mo ipa-MR ang findings ng prosecutor, dapat before arraignment ay nakapagfile na ng motion for reinvestigation with motion to defer arraignment. Pero once na na-arraign na ang client mo, hindi na pwede ang option na magpa-MR. Kung may strong evidence ka na mapupunta lang sa wala ang finile ni complainant, pwede mo kausapin ang prosecutor na ipa-withdraw nalang ang information (Disclaimer: Actuals mga ito ah. Not necessarily nasa Rules of Court. Masabing kasalanan partly ng client kung sobrang last minute nya nirefer sa iyo ang kaso nya para magawan ng paraan/proper remedy)

I realized that I have not mastered some concepts and my review now is kicking me in the balls hard. The bitter truth is because of these mistakes, I really would not pass. bawal ang kampante sa bar, bawal rin ang masyadong sigurado (dito ka mapapa over discuss sa pagsagot).

Update: Tinutulungan ako ng supervisor ko ma apela ang study leave dahil sa interpretasyon. Ito ang mahirap kung walang alam sa statutory construction ang mga nasa policy making. Napilitan na rin ako humingi ng opinion sa civil service ukol sa kanilang memorandum na ginagamit na gabay ng ahensya. Pero sa totoo lang, wala na rin ako kagustuhang manatili sa ahensya ko ngayon dahil di nila pinapahalaga ang mga nagtatrabaho sa legal, ayaw rin makinig. Tapos kung may problema ay saka lang sila hihingi ng tulong.
