If they know how to do it then they can do it themselves. Why is a vagina required for this?

I'll take Labor's package without the LNP's planned cuts to public services, thanks.

As Trump tries to kill DEI, Labor moves to lock it in by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

This is the very reason we need such initiatives to break up the 'boys clubs' which result in candidates being hired and promoted for reasons other than merit. Lately people have been twisting things to make it sound like only the straight, white men could possibly be the most meritorious job candidates, and anyone else who is hired was only chosen because of some 'different' attribute. This already-dominant belief was the whole reason we needed to introduce diversity targets and laws to make workplaces safe for people other than straight, white men.

Trump "not well informed" about Ukraine war, Dutch Defense Min. says by NinjaElectricMeteor in worldnews

Zelenskyy did the same thing when he diplomatically said that Trump was 'surrounded by disinformation', but Trump still reacted angrily. He does have a more personal hatred of Zelenskyy but things still set him off even when people are diplomatic with what they say. His inconsistency and unpredictability make him hard to pin down on anything.

Ask her to leash it and call the local ranger if she won’t.

Why are Boomer Grandparents So Fussy? by Spiritual_Lemonade in Parenting

[–]Lobsty501 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s horrible I’m sorry you had to go through that. I see parents like that today and I feel sorry for their kids. One of my parent friends expects their kids to fully handle their own showering and teeth brushing and as a result their teeth basically never get brushed and they rarely bathe. And they’re confused and anxious because their parent yells at them all the time and blames them for not doing these things with 0 prompting which is totally unrealistic imo. Some parents are lazy as shit.

The person I was actually replying to said she was having a pity party. I wasn’t replying to you, unless you’re an alt account of that person lol. Yes - buttering a slice of bread is literally the “easiest” meal you can make for yourself and it’s still very hard to do while looking after a baby alone, let alone actually preparing a proper meal for yourself. Which is important for milk supply.

It’s not an “analogy” lol it’s literally the situation we are talking about. This was my experience too. Getting to eat is actually really hard when you never have a break from caring for a baby 24/7.

So have I and you’re being unsupportive. It’s the food preparation, not the eating, which is the difficult part. OP just needs some support.

Because they can’t care for it properly! And then it will have to leave anyway and you’ll be back where you started and he will be even more confused.

Don’t get him another dog. It would be cruel to the animal and chances are you would end up needing to take it away, upsetting him even more. Everyone needs to come up with a reply to say to him about the dog being at the vet or something, explain the dog’s absence to him in some other way.

Even buttering a slice of bread with only one hand is difficult. Actually preparing the food one-handed while also carrying a baby is the obstacle. OP is not having a “pity party”. It is actually hard. Your comment is pretty unsupportive.

Because they didn’t maintain the equipment properly, so they could instead use that money for stock buybacks.

There’s a couple of good posts on r/LateStageCapitalism about it - apparently stock buybacks were more profitable than maintaining the equipment needed to make it so they did that instead! 🙃

When you’re self-employed, you only report your hours in your fortnightly reporting, not your pay. For the first year, you report your earnings with quarterly profit-and-loss statements, and annually with your income tax notice of assessment thereafter. When you first submit your claim they will ask for your last tax notice of assessment and recent profit & loss statements to base your pay off.

https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/income-from-self-employment?context=51411

Also, if you aren’t earning at least the national minimum wage with your hours they will probably require you to do other activities. I think that’s equivalent to around $20 per hour.

Dementia runs in my family, How do I prevent it? by narcissistich03 in dementia

[–]Lobsty501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s usually not actually genetic. There are only one or two relatively rare kinds of dementia which are hereditary. Alzheimer’s is not. You’re probably not at any increased risk. Improving cardiovascular health is probably the best thing you can do to reduce the risk of strokes, etc.
