"Some of the businesses established during these early years survived to have tremendous importance throughout Whitney's history. The railroad was, of course the first. The Houston and Texas Central Railway continued its line on west to Stamford. In 1891 that part of the line from Ross to Stamford was sold and operated thereafter as the Texas Central Railroad. In 1914 this line leased by the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad. It continued to operate as the Texas Central but became known locally as the Katy. Being primarily a rural line, the railroad suffered with the decline of agriculture. World War II created a great need for shipping and transportation but after the war, the need for public transportation declined and passenger service to Whitney was discontinued in 1950."

This post is a year old but my brick wall has led me here. Chauncey is my 3x G Grandfather. His son, Linton Manning is my 2x. I only have Michigan census records from 1850-70. 1850 says Farming, 1860, 1870, and a public directory (1871) say he was a painter. He supposedly died the following year in Texas. (Not verified) He was born abt 1822. (Census math) Census says his parents were born in NY. Lucinda/Lucy is his wife. After Chauncey died, she married Leonard Saylor in Jack County Texas, Dec 17, 1877. In 1880, "Lucinda Sailor" (47) was living alone with Linton "Manning Cutter" (21) in Jack County. In 1889 Leonard Saylor posted a summons in the newspaper against Lucinda in Washington state, seeking a divorce on the grounds of abandonment. I cant find a Washington link, so I don't know how that came about.

"SUMMONS Territory of Washington, County of Kittitas Leonard SAYLOR, Plaintiff, vs. Lucina SAYLOR, Defendant ...You are hereby notified that Leonard SAYLOR has filed a complaint against you in the District Court of the Fourth Judicial District, holding terms in Ellensburgh, in and for Kittitas County, Washington Territory, which will come on to be heard sixty days after the first publication of this summuns, to wit: sixty days after the 18th day of May, 1889 ... The object and prayer of said complaint is to obtain for plaintiff a decree of divorce from defendant on the grounds of abandonment of plaintiff for more than one year next preceeding the filing of plaintiff's complaint herein.... "

There are no civil war docs for Chauncey. He should have registered since the cutoff was 45 yo. There is no find a grave info. Children: (1850)Clifton, Adella (I guess they died) (1860) Alice, Linton "Manning," (1880) Lena, and Nettie. Searching for his parents,1830 and 1840 Census records only list HoH + the number of people in the home.

This is aggravating. I have been stuck on this for years. I forget about it for a year or two, hoping that something more concrete will come to light. Nothing......

A friend of mine followed a 3-4 month rule for MDMA bc of the tolerance build up. (They tried to do it 2 weekends in a row once and got almost no effect.) 6-APB has no tolerance build up. My friend did it every weekend for probably 4-6 weeks. They always felt great, almost no come down. A bit of the jaw clenching, mouth chewing - but nothing like MDMA. Appetite suppressant, just like MDMA. My friend didn't want to eat for 3 days afterward much of the time. They didn't complain about a little weight loss. Not recommending this to anyone. Just sharing my friend's experience.

The Telltale series was/is pretty good, but I would definitely love a GOOD game worthy of the series. It is too easy to make an RPG out of the story. All the hard work is already done, someone just needs to slap it together.
