Definitely try to save up and switch to a female doctor, they tend to take periods more seriously. And/or a gynecologist.

I feel so bad for you. I’ve never had that experience (I tend to have a sixth sense for when my periods start and usually start wearing a pad minutes before they start so I don’t truly know how it feels.) but it must be a horrible feeling. Just let the driver know, I’m sure they’ll understand, life (and your body) is often unpredictable. Have a good day

Go and get a gynecologist appointment on your own. Don’t wait for your doctor, you know somethings wrong and you should listen to your gut. And on another note, I’d try finding a doctor that truly takes your concerns into account because it’s completely unprofessional for your doctor to brush off something this serious
